Our printer at work is broken. Sort of. If we tell our computer to print it won't. But if another area sends us a document it prints. I.S. has been working on it for two days. They are stumped.

Someone's changed the I.P. address of the printer in your computer. You might have to delete the printer, and reinstall the printer driver in your computer. 

But before you do that, try doing a normal shut-down and restart of the computer. That fixes a lot of issues.

 

It's also possible that it's no longer set as the "default" printer. Do you know how to check that?

 

Another thought, your computer might not really have access to your intranet because a setting was changed, or a "switch" is failing. Or you might be signed in to the wrong intranet or VPN.

We have rebooted both many times. Funny thing is when you try to delete the printer it won't let you. Even I.S. can't delete it under their admin login.

We have the best IT department. Both are very compitent. One of them is eager to please and is right on top of everything. The other is still good, but will roll his eyes when you do something dumb lol
