I worked a few hours today to catch up from being off. Tonight, DD is having a friend over ( a girl who lives in the dorms, but wants a break). Tomorrow we are headed to watch a hockey game. If someone comes up with something to do on Sunday, I am politely declining. I have other plans. Doing nothing is a plan, right?

Totally! I would say I'm sorry, I already have plans, I would not add that those plans were to eat take-out Chinese and sit on the couch watching Criminal Minds reruns with the dog. they were still my plans
I have wussed out and have retreated to my room for a couple hours. Went to breakfast with my parents and 1 cousin, them straight to the beach. I really am loving my time with my family, but this introvert needs some DG time. There is a BBQ at 6, I'll come out for that....maybe lol

I'm not sure what you mean here Ed. I know I'm a little out of practice, but I think this is what you're supposed to do, get to know someone, find common interests, etc. am I wrong?

You're right, of course. I was thinking that at some point you'll have to wrap your arms around him and kiss him.
But I'm an old foggy now, so I might be out of touch.

There's no rush Ed. I think we need a date (or two) under our belts before there is any kissing going on. I've made enough relationship mistakes in the past by rushing things - or being allowed to be rushed. I don't plan on letting that happen this time.
