The FDA policies permit copying and redistributing the information articles they send out, to which I subscribe.

Is that going to be a problem?

I doubt it's the FDA complaining. Just make sure to credit them with the article.

I don't know. The warning wasn't that detailed, just "too much copying and pasting of articles". I would think with proper credit, it would be ok.

Sounds good to me. I seldom bothered to wade through whole articles anyway. A nice concise summation of an article should be good. Although I know this is like Reader's Digest and we will be getting someone elses interpretation of the article, not necessarily the authors intended meaning,

I rarely ever posted stuff, but when I did I posted the link to the article. I do think some people excessively posted articles.

But, if you want to start Modding the board with an iron fist, have at it. The fun of this board is the DIALOGUE that ensues from the threads. There are NO other boards that have some LIMIT on the postings as long as you post the links with the articles.

I really didn't think it that hard to understand.

You may post 3 articles a day and they MUST include the by-line and credit the site from whence it came. If you are simply posting links - it doesn't apply.

Clean up your articles before you hit post, getting rid of advertisements, etc.

Basically - don't SPAM the board.

The LINK is the credit. The LINK is the only thing required on any NUMBER of other boards I post on. So, not sure what LINE BY LINE credit you are talking about.

I will absolutely include the Links. Are the LINKS what is needed to comply? And, on some boards, they just want you to post ONLY the link rather than the article. Perhaps that would be a better route. Then, no problems in that regard.

I really don't think this is a lot to ask. I, personally, don't post a lot of news stuff. However, when I do I usually use the title of the article as the title of my post. Then I copy the link at the top of the post followed by a cut and paste of the article. And I like to clean it up too. I hate all those ads and links and crap. Sometimes I leave the pictures in though. But only if they are part of the article and not ads. So maybe I'm guilty.

Want some more clarification? I just had another conversation with Steve. The biggest problem seems to be copying the COMPLETE article. So, parts are ok with links to the source.

Kind of like a "read more at" teaser.

So, I will revise the rule.
