One word..Ugh!!!

But I had to laugh this morning as I was listening to an ad bashing another candidate.  Everything they listed that made her a "Terrible choice" for arizona actually listed all the reasons I would vote for her.  It was funny.

Anyone else tired of the ads?

Anyone swayed by ads?

I like when they have those sound bites where they cut off what the person was starting to say after the bite. So obviously taken out of context.

That's the truth...must have learned that from the cable news channels. They do that constantly. We watch 2 opposing channels in order to hear the whole soundbite.

I try not to pay a whole lot of attention to them. I look at their voting records. I look at their platform and I look at who is endorsing them.

I hate the phone calls. Those will drive me insane.

Right now in TX we're having a particularly ugly race between Rick Perry and Wendy Davis. Rick Perry is currently in office and also is in a wheelchair. Wendy Davis is attacking him on all fronts. Her newest slogan is "At least I stand for something!" which her campaign people say refers to Rick Perry being in a wheelchair. She's made several ads that have implied in some way that he is inferior because he is in a wheelchair. The ads are not being taken well, she is being viewed very negatively, and her place is dropping into the double digits in the race. She had many issues to begin with as far as out right lying so she's had a lot to overcome. People are saying this is a last ditch down and dirty effort to win. It's not going well.

Who is she running against then? It's SOMEONE in a wheelchair. I swear on the good earth I saw a whole thing on that the other day. I'm not imagining it.

Hangs head shamefully. It's Greg Abbott. No idea why I got them confused. I do know why but I won't admit it.

No, she isnt attacking his disability. Shes attacking his hypocrisy. He sued the homeowner of a tree that fell on him causing his disability. Got a **** ton of money. When a kid had THE WRONG LEG AMPUTATED he determined the kid wasnt disabled enough to collect more than $250,000 or something like that.

I'll try to find an article.

That's the jist of it, I'm sure I'm missing details.

She didnt say "that no good paraplegic can't walk!!!"

Hahahaha. Nope. I don't love him. And yes Vette, it's very nasty that she's attacking his disability. It's turned into a very nasty race. She's way behind and she's hoping to pull it out of the dumper. But she won't. She's the one that lied about being a single mom and putting herself through college. Turned out she was a single mom for like three days. And her ex paid her entire college tuition and the day it was paid she filed for divorce. She also claims to understand what poor people live like because she lived in a mobile home park. Um yeah, for like three weeks before she started receiving hefty alimony sums. She's a big time liar. I wouldn't vote for her based on that. She has no morals. But other than that she's got a lot of other faults too.

Her newest campaign slogan is something like "I stand for blah blah blah." Her campaign people have said that it's a direct "hit" on him. Sorry, don't know the right word. She's sleazy anyway. Even if she wasn't attacking him. But there are many ads here and she does imply things about him.

Yeah, well, denying a child a settlement for a wrong amputation kind of sucks too. But, I vote strict party lines unless they're anti choice. Its my non negotiable. We all know how much of a monster that makes me but if people feel compelled to remind me, feel free.

The thing with Wendy Davis is personal with me. I worked hard as a single mom to get an education and get off welfare. So for her to pretend like she "struggled" is a personal slap in the face.
