Well, I really can't believe some of you couldn't recognize the song "Saturday in the Park" from the Lyrics--but whatever.

I thought it would be fun to do a song lyrics thread.  Need name of song and artist.

"Like a picture she was laying there

Moonlight dancing off her hair

She woke up and took my by the hand

and we made love in my _______   ______

and that's alright with me."

I shouldn't have even given you that much.

The lyrics are wrong. It's she's gonna love me in my chevy van.

Ok, that one might be a little obscure. EVERYONE should be able to get this one:

In the day we sweat it out on the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through the mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway 9,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected, and steppin' out over the line
h-Oh, Baby this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
`Cause tramps like us, baby we were _____ _____ _____

Not in the third refrain.

Actually, the last three refrains are the same as how I have it written.

Everyone should know that one.  One of the greatest rock and roll songs ever cut.

Check this out:

Several rubes who like to write songs and sing--and one actual musician.  They didn't even know the frickin' words.  This performance was absysmal--but it would have sucked much worse without Springsteen.

I kind of want to stick to good music.

You, however, can post a song lyric on here--even if it sucks.

Ok, fine.

Forty-two stairs from the street
Crooked landing, crooked landlord
Narrow lane way filled with crooks
This is where we used to live

Here's another one:

Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home

Well, maybe I'm just too sure
Or maybe I'm just too frightened
By the sound of it
Pieces of note fall down but the letter said

Uh huh

Just to think I used to worry about things like that
I used to worry 'bout rich and skinny 'til I wound up
poor and fat
Now days I kind of worry where my mind's been at
Just to think I used to worry about things like that

Alright, I confess that I had to look this one up.

Then I found it on youtube.  I can sincerely say I've never heard that song before.

Aye an' a bit of Mackeral settler rack and ruin
ran it doon by the haim, 'ma place
well I slapped me and I slapped it doon in the side
and I cried, cried, cried.

The fear a fallen down taken never back the raize and then Craig Marion,
get out wi' ye Claymore out mi pocket a' ran doon, doon the middin stain
picking the fiery horde that was fallen around ma feet.
Never he cried, never shall it ye get me alive
ye rotten hound of the burnie crew. Well I snatched fer the blade O my
Claymore cut and thrust and I fell doon before him round his feet.

Aye! A roar he cried frae the bottom of his heart that I would nay fall
but as dead, dead as 'a can be by his feet; de ya ken?

Yeah.  Not a chance I've ever heard that one, either.

It's Pink Floyd--but very obscure.  Never hit the charts anywhere.

You can.  I looked it up but don't want to cheat and use that.

My love is gone she suffered long
In hours of pain

My love is gone
Now my suffering begins

My love is gone
Would it be wrong if I should
Surrender all the joy in my life
Go with her tonight?

My love is gone she suffered long
In hours of pain

My love is gone
Would it be wrong if I should
Just turn my face away from the light
Go with her tonight?

Pink Floyd
Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict.

I love it. Would lay between my speakers and listen to it. The stereo of it was awesome.

Admiral halsey notified me,
He had to have a berth or he couldn't get to sea.
I had another look and i had a cup of tea and a butter pie.

"couldn't put it in something else
So i pulled it in the pie, alright!"
