Czech, I'm having a blast helping the kids. Conor has a lot to learn, since he never paid that much attention while he was living with us.

And Jessi has always lived in an apartment. So, she's learning, too. wink

They really are cute. They even dragged me along to shop for a fridge. (It's nice to know that they value my opinion.)

Next on the list, yard work. I gave them all my equipment. Now I have to teach them how to use it. Maybe tomorrow I will start on that. Or, the weekend, so I can teach both of them at the same time.

It nice that they both have pride in their home, and want to learn how to maintain it properly.

I am more than happy to help them. smile

Oh, save me a jar of applesauce, please! biggrin

We did. $40k less. I see there are some things not included, such as any electrical work that needs to be run under driveways, existing patios, etc., so I suspect the price will go up once work begins. It's just a matter of "how much" more....

We were "owner" contractor on our pool in So. Cal back in the late 80's. Saved a ton of money, but it damned near killed us!

They are installing the bathroom tile in our shop bathroom today, so then the toilet can be installed. Then we have a potty for when we have our paint party on Saturday.

Here is the picture we used to print the tile

It is mural format over 12 square feet with 4 repeats (48 sq ft bathroom)

Good morning Geeks. I am back at work & getting slammed a little but I really enjoyed having a 4 day weekend. I still have a bunch of time off left so I will be taking several long weekends in November. Possibly every week!

My aunt is coming to stay with my mom for a while. She has had some medical issues. Then a few weeks ago she was driving to a Dr. appointment & these teens were goofing off on the sidewalk on a bike. The teen hit a big mailbox & flew out in the road & she ran him over. She wasn't at fault but is having a bit of a melt down over it. I can't imagine how that would feel. I think about it because my neighbor kids are always in the road.

I got my flu and pneumonia shot yesterday and my arm is really sore. Making broccoli casserole for dinner. It's nice enough that I can open the doors, windows, AND run the exhaust fan to remove the smell of cooking broccoli. I love it, but it sure does not smell yummy when it's being cooked.

Rita, I got my flu shot a couple weeks ago. My allergist gave it to me when I got my allergy shots. DH immediately loaded up the family and took everyone to Wal-Greens and everyone got their flu shot. I got my pneumonia shot last year and they're good for five years so I'm set there.

Czech makes the best stuff. The year she had me for SS she sent me the best stuff in the entire world. SO SO SO SO good. I keep trying to get her to send me more. The apricot jam was out of this world. My family fought over that stuff.

It is such a beautiful day! I wish I could bottle it up and send all of you a little bit of it.

I was going to take the boys to get their shots today but with A being sick I wanted to give him another day before I attack his immune system with something.

I will get mine after.

We have never gotten the flu vaccine before. But I don't want to end up in the ER and have some over zealous nurse declare us an Ebola case.

So we will get one.

I have to come up with something for supper. it never ends.

I get 4 weeks vacation & don't seem to be able to use it until the end of the year so I'm using it a few days at a time. If it makes you feel any better my trip to Cali back in June is the first "real" vacation I have had in 6 years. By "real" I mean actually going somewhere.

Someone broke a large plate in the kitchen sink and covered it up. No names will be mentioned. I cut my finger cleaning the glass out, then the garbage disposal clogged up due to unseen glass. I got another cut.
The culprit helped me get the disposal fixed and I got another cut!!! evileye

And now it's after 2:30!!! I'm staying away from the sink.

I think I need a vaca from home.

Last time I was there (4 years ago?), I took a boat trip to Savannah. Never got much beyond River Street, but I loved it.

Ohhhh, did ya go do wet willies for a daiquiri? Savannah has much more lax booze laws. In Beaufort county you can't walk from one bar to another with a cup of livations. Savannah doesn't care.
