I am at the dentist with DD. Just 3 fillings for her today. Praying work doesn't call before she's done. The hospital is only 3 minutes down the road but she will be hating life if she gets stuck going in with me.
OK - I am a good shopper, but it is pretty much impossible to find a nice GREEN blouse/tunic/shirt for my child! Green is the other Christmas color, people!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Here is my list of things I had to do yesterday ....
set up a meeting with my grad school advisor, write a paper in the next week and a half, do my grad research work for the professor I work for, clean my house, do laundry, try to remember what I wanted to do with my Auntie this weekend (it was SUCH a good idea ...), call the storage unit that has my stuff and make sure my payments aren't in arrears, pay my student loan, walk the dog, cancel my gym membership (it's in the wrong city), fix my budget ....
Here is what I did ....
emailed grad school advisor, walked dog, paid tuition - which is different than paying my student loan (and went to work and then came home)

Try the boys clothes.
A green t shirt is usually always available.

Slept in. The sun is shinning and it is 54 but the wind is cool.
I need to get some stamps too. How much is a book of stamps now?
I have to finish some Christmas shopping. But I really don't want to go out on a Saturday.
I think I will browse online.
A bit nervous for my cousin today. She is playing a few ball games today but there are three college scouts coming to watch her.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Homework. I need to finish raising my virtual child. And start researching and writing my research paper. And finish about 50 small assignments for French class. And read about the respiratory system for Anatomy. And defrost one of the freezers after figuring out where to put all the stuff. The second freezer is pretty full too.
I am having some noodles and trying to get my Christmas cards ready to go out.
Anybody want a Christmas card?

Left dentist and went to the grocery store. Of course the nursing supervisor called while we were there. Been at work over 2 hours. Had to put my meat in the freezer here. I hope to get out of here soon.

Did all my housework and laundry yesterday. Only thing to do is take some movies back today. Maybe a quiet day. Might cook dinner, might not. Maybe I'll maybe some brownies.

At walgreens waiting for DD'S prescription toothpaste. It's a freaking tube of toothpaste, whyyyy do we have to wait 25 minutes? The tech had to go check if they had it and now we wait. I just want to go home and take a shower and a nap.
Got 2+ hours of heavy yard work (trimming, weeding, raking) done at the church (we have a "work day" once a month where a few of us actually show up and work!), then swung by the market and got the weekly shopping done. The rest of the day is mine!! I'll transplant a few things and putter in my little back yard. There are lean pork steaks, stuffing and spinich salad for dinner - maybe I'll put the steaks on the bbq. Anybody have a better idea for lean pork steaks?
Lily - I love your avatar. Unfortunately for Tom, it makes me hungry for turkey!! I love this season...

I took my own advice. Since posting this, I have slept for 8 additional hours....

So you need to check this out. homesteadfair.com We have an Amish community near us and every Thanksgiving weekend they do this weekend where they demonstrate all kinds of things. Soap making, wooden boats, weaving, basket making, candles, pottery, and more. You can try your hand at making it. They have all kinds of music and they do a barn raising. They do milking, herding, and cheese making. They have hay rides and horseback rides. And all kinds of food. Brick oven pizza, kettle corn, funnel cakes, home made ice cream, and cider.
But this year they are doing seminars on sustainable organic gardening, raising chickens, food preservation, and rainwater collection among other things. I really want to go to them!

That sounds like a ton of fun and educational as well. I'd go if I was there.

We have never gone because it's kind of expensive. It's much cheaper if you buy the passes ahead of time. They charge for parking and you get tickets to do different activities. You can buy family passes too. I've been really into food preservation lately. Czech has been answering a lot of questions for me. I want to learn more! In fact, I think I'm going to order a pressure cooker tonight.

I did that today. But I put a bra on so it looked like I got dressed.
