It's lame but it's all I could come up with. I'm getting my hubby from the airport tonight. But if we have geeks traveling please be safe!

Just got to work. I'm like 20 minutes early so I'm sitting in my car before I have to get out in the cold. Tire pressure light came on when I started the car so now I have to figure out what is up with that. Hard to do at 6am.

Could be due to the cold weather. People often don't consider check tire pressure as the seasons change. cold air is much "smaller" than warm air.

Good morning grumpy here today. DH decided to get everyone up at 6:07 this morning. I'm not a happy camper. Why he decided the kids needed to be up a half hour early is beyond me. He got the from me.
The kids don't have to be to school until after 7:30, so what's his problem???
SB, yes, just add air to your tires and that will fix the problem. Cold weather makes a huge difference on tire pressure readings.
Flan, hope you are enjoying your vacation away.
NJN, glad your DH will be home for at least a few days.
It's balmy outside! 26 degrees ABOVE zero!!!
Good morning, Lily and IKWTDS.
Hope everyone has a great day.

The cold effects the tire pressure in my car all the time.
Hola y'all! Went to the oral surgeon last night and he hooked me up! I feel like a new person! LOL!
Lex, I get cold sores if I'm out in the sun too much or if I'm stressed. I have an open RX for Valtrex. Pop one when you feel the itch and it takes care of it. Its a life saver. Talk to you Dr about it. (P.S. I SWEAR we are sisters. You must have been the bad one and was given away...)

It's up to 40 but the wind is blowing hard and it is cold. Have no clue what the wind chill is.
But the sun is shining gloriously.

My dentist hooked me up with Valtrex years ago. I popped two when I woke up this morning but it was already there so it's just keeping it from spreading now.
Morning everyone. I woke up with a cold sore for no reason. I'm not sick & I'm not overly stressed. Grrr....I hate cold sores.
That's one reason why people should get their kids the HPV vaccine.
It wasn't around in the 70s when I was growing up otherwise I'm sure my mom would have had me vaccinated. She was good about that. She still reminds me I need to keep my tetanus up to date & to get a flu shot every year.

He packed the socket with a degradable sponge that was soaked in antibiotic and pain medicine. It's heavenly...
I got that too. It was wonderful.
It's like the candy man during delivery!

Well, cancel welcome home Wednesday. They canceled his flight due to severe bad weather. He's slated to come home tomorrow instead. So I guess I'll go finish up the few errands I have today so that when he comes home there will be no place to go. We can just hang out.
I think we're going to get SS this Friday. He has a five day grounding to serve out. Hopefully he will serve it and be done with it by Thanksgiving. We have the tickets to the Amish Fair next weekend and I'd like for him to be able to enjoy it.

I see her regularly & I've told her many times what a great mother she was. She made us eat healthy & took us to the dentist regularly. She did what she could to keep us healthy. I also tease her about being a terrible parent because we didn't have car seats & our cribs probably had lead paint. You know all of the trappings of growing up in the dangerous 1970s.
We had a car seat. My brother and I. I don't know if it actually fastened down to the seat but I remember I would sit in it and the thing would come down over my head. Like a high chair tray. But it was padded. I don't think it fastened to anything either.
But I do remember I could see out of the car when I was in it. I liked that.

What year was this (about what year). In the '70's we had car seats that were held in place by the seatbelts.
Fortunately, we never had to find out how well they worked in a crash.
We also had booster seats for the kids age 3 and up, that lifted them up so the adult seatbelt held them in the right place, across the top of their legs up against the belly.

Well I was born in 1970. I was probably about 3 or 4.
But I also remember being held in place behind my mom's shoulder too. So I don't know how often they were used.

It was like this. But I remember it had more of an arm rest on the sides. And we never had the shoulder straps. Aat least I don't remember them if we did.

The first seatbelts for cars came out in 1962, At my serious urging, my parents bought them from the AAA, and paid Arlo at the corner Texaco station to install them.
Four seatbelts installed cost $100, which was a good week's pay.
Before that, when there was a sudden stop, kids went flying. And the cars' interiors were not friendly, since they had chrome strips along the edge of the front seats, attached with screws. Yes, I got some bumps and cuts on my head from that when I was 8.
