It's supposed to rain all day. I'm guessing church won't be super crowded. We average around 400 every Sunday. It's a newer church so lots come to check it out.

Frankly, I miss going to Meeting, but I don't think HHI has any Quaker churches.

I love antiquing.

I slept until 8! wow. But house cleaner coming soon so I can't relax. At least I de cluttered yesterday. I can't believe how warm it is here, in the 40's already.

Not a lot of antique shops here...More souvenir stuff.

We had the all day rain yesterday. I never left the house.

It's 55 and sunny, heading for a high in the low 70's.

I think I'm going to run to the grocery store, and snag a turkey, milk, coffee and half and half.

The rest of the shopping can wait until tomorrow morning.

I am up! The corn is made. Noodles on the stove. Dressing is the next step. I'm ahead of schedule.

My mom frustrates me. Her first question when she saw the bags from Walmart was "are you getting reimbursed for all this?" I told her yes, just because I didn't want to deal with her. And honestly, pastor will probably offer. And I'll probably decline. You would think she would be happy she raised a giving daughter evileye

Flan have you checked out the plantations, lighthouse, and museum? What about an excursion? Take a trip to one of the neighboring islands or towns.

Go to one of the local owned shops and find someone and ask them about off the beaten path restaurants and adventures.

Or take advantage of the day and nap. Just relax and watch TV and nap.

Massage maybe?

Oh I got an idea! Check out some of the kids activities and see if there is anything you can take back to work with you.

Heck if you do that, you could actually write the whole trip off as work related.

DS and I are cuddled up on the couch watching Saved By The Bell. We'd still be asleep but DH's phone went off and woke DS up. I have trouble getting back to sleep once up so I got up with DS.

According to the channel we're watching, Saved By The Bell is rated E/I because it's educational and informative. I think it's neither but meh.

So I am watching today's service online, and the guest speakers 2 year old daughter was being fussy and wanting her daddy. So he just went over picked her up and she is asleep on his shoulder. He's preaching like nothing is different with his little girl sleeping on his shoulder. It's so cute.

I've done a lot of Christmas shopping the last couple of days (not SS, I'm done with her). Now I'm out of money!

Just got back from the emergency room with DS. He was mowing leaves and something flew up from the mower into his eye.

Corneal abrasion, laceration, something like that. They even did a CT scan. It's still uncomfortable, but he's okay.

I'm glad I made him get insurance last year.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Oh geez! Blankie the good news is the eye is the fastest healing organ in the humane body. Tomorrow will be 100% better than today and the next will be 100% better than tomorrow.

I did that when I was pregnant. Corneal abrasion. I couldn't have anything for pain. They numbed it at the eye doctor but once that was gone, I was on my own with it.

It does get better really quickly.

DH is less than impressed with our new block-filled living room floor. We went to a friend's son's first birthday party today and our friend isn't sure if she can make it to DS' first birthday party next month because of her work schedule so she gave DS his presents today. He is very much enjoying his blocks and toy ATV. DS wasted no time in spreading the blocks throughout the living room. DH will learn the value of shuffling his feet when he walks sooner than later, methinks!
