I'd love to get one someday - I would use it!! In all fairness, I do know a couple who got one and did just that - lost interest in a few months. Depends on the person, I guess.
My mom said she will give us hers, but DH doesn't want to do the work to get it installed, and he thinks it will take up too much space on our back patio.
I'd love a hot tub. I'd use one at least once a week.

Truth be told, I'd probably use it a lot at first and then it would just be a something else to clean and not use. I'd like to have the opportunity to try it though.
We use it more when it is cooler. In the summer it is to hot. We use it about once or twice a week. I would use it more but my husband works late a lot of nights and I don't like sitting outside alone.
I would love a hot tub. We had one for 12 years in our last house. We used it all the time. Nothing better after a long day at work than a glass of wine in the hot tub.

Husker, will it be in a porch or totally outside? I think I would use one more often if there was some sort of structure over it sheltering it from the weather.

Had a huge tub once. C loved it cause it was like a pool in the house for her. I hated cleaning it cause I had to get in the thing to clean it.

Outside.

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.

I hope that is the case.

Bathing suits optional. Unless of course the neighbors can see. Then it's just common courtesy to at least wait until it's dark.

We live near a military base that sometimes uses our little towns airport landing strip behind our house for night landing and take off practive for the apache? helecopters. I was sitting in my hot tub one night and you can hear them coming with spot lights. Yes right over the hot tub.
When I was in my early 20's I moved back home while attending college at night. One evening, class was cancelled, so I came home. My parents were in the spa with all the lights out. I couldn't see a thing, but noticed my mother wasn't saying anything and my father had his "calm" voice...I glanced down and saw a pile of something on the edge and realized it was my father's swim trunks. OMG I said and then I could hear my mother laughing her head off.
Whenever Mr. FNW & I would visit them they would come in and tell me they were going in the spa now...code for, don't come out.
I have learned in life that a lot of things seem like a good idea to me, but then the maintenance and effort arent' worth it. Or, nobody really uses something like I thought they would.
