TOTALLY GEEKED!

The rules state -

= New members have 60 days to try out the board and decide if they are going to post. If they have made no meaningful contribution during that time, they will be deleted. This is totally a discretionally matter and "meaningful" will be solely in my discretion. This rule is to prevent the joining simply to troll or to glean information from the members only section, or to spam members.



However, due to the newness of this board, I've been hesitant to remove members this quickly. After the new year, I will take another look at it.

Thank you.  It's been a question that's been on my mind but I didn't want to sound dumb asking it.  I appreciate LL answering it!

Hate is a strong term for someone not personally known.

I don't care what is taken to another board really. As long as what is said in the member's only section stays there.

But we have had instances of that not being the case right here.

So I think being very careful what is posted is very good advice.

 One could interpret this to mean that if you don't like a poster, whether or not they abide by the rules, then you could judge their posts "not meaningful" and just delete them.

 

Heck, I know you loathe me...and I should expect to be deleted sometime after new year...right?

 The rule was actually made during a certain fiasco a while back on GT.  The entire point of a members only section is to give members a place they feel a little more safe and private posting.  Lurkers can always see the main board - if they are not going to post - there is really no reason to be a member.

Well, I didn't mean to start a fight. I was just truly curious. Usually late at night when I'm posting I look at the little green man to see who else is on. That's when I notice it a lot.

 Often I don't pay attention to the little green men, but I have noticed a few names that made me think...

The red: This is my position but how often do you see 'PM me' or 'I will PM you' instead of just saying it?

Uh SB, can you catch up already?  Look at the little green man at the bottom of your page.  It tells you who's online.

On my smart phone, there are no little green men.

My computer has them, but I can close that bar down, or up, whenever I want.  

My computer doesn't have them. I use chrome. Maybe it's only on explorer.
