Easy egg nog? Hot cider?

We always just buy it but I would like to make it if it isn't hard to make.

Any easy recipes? Is it hard to make? We don't do alcohol so that isn't necessary.

What do you put in your cider? I never know what to put and end up with too much nutmeg or cinnamon.

My dad has a peanut butter pie recipe. I will find it and post it. It is in his recipe cup. I have to find the recipe cup first.

I just put one cinnamon stick in my cup of warm cider and let infuse for a few minutes until it's ready to drink temp. You could also use a packet of mulling spices.

I don't drink egg nog.

I like to add a cinnamon stick, an whole allspice or two, a single clove, and depending on my mood, a shave of nutmeg. Yum!

These are rough measurements from memory. I'll dig around and find the recipe later

Take a whole apple and stud it with about 25-30 whole cloves. Slice 1 orange. Pour a gallon of apple cider into a pan (I use a crock pot). Add cinnamon/nutmeg/allspice (I'll have to look up how much), float the apple and orange slices. Then simmer for at least an hour. I usually use the crock pot and just let it go all day and we drink it as we go

I don't do cider (too much sugar), but I managed to get hold of a low carb recipe for eggnog...it's pretty good!

There was a wine shop in town some years back that carried a cranberry wine (festiberry), and it made a wonderful hot punch. I used to serve it at the garden club holiday luncheon. Nothing like 20 women over 70 getting tipsy!

For THanksgiving I bought cider and warmed it on the stove. Then I served it in one of these:

Carafe Glass Tea Coffee Warmer FB ROGERS Vintage Silver Plated

I added mulling spice teabags I bought from the farm who delivers my veggies, a couple slices of orange, and served with cinnamon stick in each mug.

Egg Nog I buy from the local dairy and serve with cognac and freshly grated nutmeg.
