Omg! Gas prices are predicted to go to $1.99 here in the valley. Average here is $2.45 but in some parts of the city it's as low as $2.29. Wow!

Morning everyone. I have a 4 day weekend again. It is kind of cool that I didn't use my vacation time during the year & now have 4 day weekends to burn it. I could get used to working 3 day weeks.

Gas is down to $2.15 a gallon here and dropping. Quickly. We've seen several friends in the oil field laid off recently. The steadily dropping prices are not good for them.

We have a girl on the team who applied to MIT. They email the decision tomorrow at 15:16 so it will be 12/13/14 15:16. Apparently in the spring they do it on 3/14. Silly geeks!

This weekend (starting tonight at 3:330 and running through Sunday at dinner) is one of our college showcase tournaments. College coaches from all over the country will be here to scout. I am volunteering all weekend. I am like a concierge. I show them where the games are, I take care of the hospitality room (we serve them meals there), I answer questions and generally schmooze with them. It's fun, but exhausting.

So far today, I have gotten all the Christmas cards written and mailed. Got the mail and received cards from people I forgot. Dang it, now I'm not done again.

DD is in her worst day of pain as predicted by surgeon. Good thing I'm a nurse..

Yes, she's on the really good stuff. And she definitely needs it. I'm alternating it with ibuprofen, so she gets something every two hours. She's still miserable today. Slight fever as well. I may call the surgeon yet today. She shouldn't be running a fever. cry

She is eating. That is a good sign.
