Hope the slumber party was a success. (Am I dating myself with the use of slumber party instead of stayover?)

Sunday over here. Voted in the national elections. Figure Abe will win by a landslide simply because there is no one else who has a clue about governing.

Two packages arrived. One from Lands End via their Borderfree delivery service - took exactly one week. The other a purchase on eBay via their Global Shipping. Took 17 days and cost more for shipping than any other method would. Try not to buy from sellers who use that, but I slipped up this time.

I'm awake because the big lunk of a dog is on the bed, and I have been squeezed out.

This will not do.

I'm kicking him off onto his dog bed, and reclaiming my space.

I hope you get some shuteye, flan. Insomnia stinks.

I had to get up early, dog has a grooming app't at 8 am. He cannot miss that, he smells! Grooming place is near all the retail stores so this close to Christmas I suppose it is better to have the appt before the traffic starts. Right now it will take me 15 minutes to get there, in 3 hours it will take 45 minutes, there is that much traffic.

I figured if I get them done today they will get there on time. Some will contain gift cards. I also have to do sympathy cards. And I guess send flowers. I was going to send a muffin gift basket but they wanted to charge me $30 to have it there Monday because it's Hanukkah.

So I found my address book. The envelopes for the cards I bought are silver. And absorbent. The only way I could use them would be to use labels. Thankfully I have some cards I bought last year.

I have this huge box of cards I have bought over the years. Not one sympathy card. I'm not stepping foot in Walmart. Closest Hallmark store (or any card store) is 30 minutes away. Grrrrr.

Good morning! I woke up at 1 and stayed awake til 3:30 watching Modern Family on my dvr. Funny show. Went back to bed, slept til 7:30. Have absolutely no plans for today since my beloved Cardinals aren't playing.

OK how about the INs and Outs of Girl drama? DD had her party last night. Sooo, is it OK to post pics on Facebook and INstagram? I mean they are 13, not 5 yrs old. And, there are parties DD hasn't been invited to either and I see plenty of pics of other kids doing things that they didn't invite her too.
