I can't find the article online to copy and paste, but the important note is ...

 

REAL mistletoe is highly toxic, and MUST be kept away from children and pets.

If human eats any part of it, they must be taken to an emergency room immediately.

Holly is toxic but the leaves are pointy so kids don't eat them. Poinsettias are slightly toxic.

 

Christmas trees ...

are dangerous because they can fall over onto small kids and pets.

If anyone wants my mistletoe pudding recipe for your crabby aunt let me know! Pretty easy. I'll just post it:


Mistletoe Pudding

1 Bunch of mistletoe

2 Cool Whip Containers

Pinch of nutmeg


Crumble the mistletoe in a bowl. Stir in Cool Whip and nutmeg. Let chill 2-4 hours.

Serve alone, on pumpkin pie, with cookies.
