There are fuzzy yarn scraps all over the living room. I guess one of the cats had a party after we went to bed. DD can clean it up.

Only 6 more business days for the year. Plus, a short week. I wonder how many cases will be added today.
Work for me then I still need to go to the store yet again or we will be eating cold cereal Christmas morning. Also picking up plastic plates and cups because I just decided I want to use them Christmas eve. And I can't find the napkins I bought last month. They were really pretty.

Since Christmas is on Thursday we had a choice of closing the OR on Wednesday or having a 4 day weekend. I'm sure Wednesday will be slow since all the Dr. Offices are probably closed so they can't drum up new cases.

Our little company party tonight, giving the employees the option of how many hours they work on the 24th. We are moving our business into a new location, and aside from Christmas Day, will be working every day through New Year (opening the new location Jan 2nd.)

So-o-o-o- glad I took this week off from work.

I'm picking up Little Man at about 2:00 today, and will have him until about 8:00. Hurray!

As for the morning, I can just stay in my PJs and do nothing!

Maybe take a long walk with the doggie, but that's as ambitious as I will get.

Because I did so much baking yesterday.

I did the ole m & m's, skittles, reeses pieces trick. I had to wait over an hour for the lounge to be empty so it would be anonymous. Now to wait!

Elective surgeries seem to dry up right before holidays, because people don't want to be stuck in the hospital then.

I got an early Christmas present yesterday. My brother (well half brother) called me. We haven't spoken in over 10 years and I honestly thought he was dead. He ran into a friend of mine and asked for my number. He called yesterday morning as I was getting ready for church. I don't EVER answer a phone number that I don't recognize, but I did for some reason. I said hello, and all he said was, "Hey ohfour". I literally fell to my knees and started crying. It took me a minute to even be able to speak.

He's alive and sounds good. He's been to hell and back, but just may be on the right track now. There is not ONE THING I would have wanted more than that phone call...well, other than him showing up at my door, but hopefully we will see each other in the next few days...

YAY, ohfour! An extra holiday surprise.

My day so far: Talk to the vet about fleas! GRRRR! None of our dogs have EVER had them. We tried something cheaper than Frontline & it didn't work. We'll give him a bath (longhair Doxie) next.

Went to Target, then got to see itty bitty!!!

I'm off to meet a long lost friend today. We were best friends in the third and fourth grades and then I moved away and we wrote letters for a bit, but then it died off. She found me on facebook a few years ago, but because I move around so much we are finally in the same area!!

We're going to have lunch today. . . . Its been 26 years since we saw each other. I hope we get along!

I broke down and made a batch of cathedral candy this morning. It's close enough to Christmas that DH can't eat it all before the holidays. Hehehe, but he will try.
DGD and I are wrapping presents this afternoon. She is so excited. I bought kids Christmas music and a movie for us to enjoy together. She is at that super sweet age and so helpful.

DS pilfered a sauce pan from the cabinet and is putting Legos (the big ones) into it. I don't care if he plays with the pots and pan as long as he leaves my Pyrex alone.

I'm waiting until DS goes down for his nap then will get some work done around the house.

Happy Monday! So much to do! I've been sick, thankfully didn't end up in the hospital on I.v. but I'm pushing my luck. Today I have cookies to make, and gifts to wrap. Got the grocery shopping done so will have nice home made dinners for Mr.VoR when he gets home. And, for the first time in over 20 years, I got him a Christmas stocking. I'm filling it with travel items, candy and funny stuff. I also bought him Sirius radio and a mini fridge for his truck.

O4 that's sweet about your brother. Czech, that candy sounds amazing. Lily, that puppy is frickin adorable! Everyone else, have fun doing what your doing and let's all enjoy our holiday, regardless of what or how we celebrate!

I will be leaving a week from today and won't be back till the middle of Feb. I can't wait to see my sweet little grand daughter who loves the Grinch and sings the Christmas song the who's sing and to meet my new little wee one in a few weeks.

eta: I just hope I don't get on the wrong plane and end up in hong kong

OMG DS is taking us out tomorrow night for dinner for a special occasion. I get to pick the restaurant. Found one in the downtown area that I really want to go to "casual upscale" I guess means where jeans but the prices are as if you are black tie! Anyway, I went on ebates, and to Groupon through ebates. I got a $110 coupon for $47 plus I get 6% back from ebates. biggrin Oh yeah, I'm good!
