TARANA: Tarana or Taranah is a type of composition in Hindustani classical vocal music in which certain words and syllables (e.g. "odani", "todani", "tadeem" and "yalali") based on Persian and Arabic phonemes are rendered at a medium (madhya) or fast (drut) pace (laya). It was invented by Amir Khusro (1253-1325 CE), and is similar to the Qalbana form of Sufi poetry.
Hmmmm, interesting. Perhaps some vocal warm-ups might be good today?
Some kind of warm-up, anyway. It's freakin' cold here!

Tarana is also the sanskrit word for liberation and the act of crossing over Samsara. Samsara is the act of death and rebirth. I thought it was fitting for the New Year!
Gosh, does anyone besides me, have a serious problem with body drag?
This old girl partied to late last night...
I have body drag from having insomnia from 2 to 7 am.
Perhaps we can each get a nap later?
Body drag here too.
There was a time in my life where getting up at 10 when I didn't have any commitments would have been getting up early. Today by 10, I had got up, fed and dressed a baby, cleaned the house from last night, put the baby down for a nap, took a nap myself and was up again.
Body drag? SS was up vomiting from 4-5 am. Again, profusely. As soon as I find my body I am going to drag it over to me.

Up really late last night. After getting home from church the kids piled into my room and we talked and cut up till about 3 this morning. Great way to start the new year in my opinion.
I need a pedicure. Maybe tomorrow.
Right now, dad is out playing with his machinery, mom is making a late lunch or early dinner(I will help her when I can) and the kids are doing their own things. It is a do what you want day.
Going to take the trees down I think. Time to get things straightened up.
Hope everyone has a great start to a great new year.

Calendars? Send me your address. We are flooded with calendars. Seems every business, etc., gives one out at the end of the year. I thought they did this in the States, too, but I have been gone so long.... Calendars or Plastic frost scrapers for auto windshields at the gas station in the States....

People have stopped giving out calendars so much here. I used to get a really nice pocket sized one for keeping in my purse and keeping up with appointments from my doctor and they cut back on that. The bank used to but doesn't anymore. And this is TX. We don't get free ice scrapers.

We get really nice pocket calendars every year from the Cell Saver people. Cells as in blood, not cell phones, lol.
