I heard an interview with one of the staff members of Charlie. He said the terrorists tried to erase Charlie from the earth and destroy its impact. What they did instead was ensure its survival and increase the number of people who will see its work - even if just for the short term. People who didn't see the cartoons of Mohammed before the attack have seen them now. They accomplished the exact opposite of their intent.
I thought that was a good way to look at it.

NY times had this in an article in the early edition, the revised article does not talk about what the witness was told. Why is the NYT covering up those facts?

The New York Times is in a boat load of trouble as it is right now. For some reason one of their publishers made the statement that Fox News was over reacting to events. I heard that one myself on the news.
The Times needs to get over it's idea of "politically correct" ideology. Face the facts arseholes.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
Bush did that. We saw how that worked out for him.
I don't think standing up to terrorists in Afghanistan was the problem, I think going into IRAQ for phoney reasons was the problem. That had nothing to do with chasing terrorists.
