Not sure where this week has gone.  I can't believe tomorrow is Friday.  I've been wanting to see American Sniper for my birthday so I pre bought some tickets for the matinee on Wednesday.  I'm so excited.

I am thinking NJN is talking about tickets for next Wednesday. Enjoy it.

Morning all. Sirens. That is what we have been hearing for a while now. I really don't want to get out on the road.

We are expecting some kind of precipitation today. It will either be nothing or schools will close early and the whole county will be in a tizzy over the ice.

SB have fun.

Everyone have a great day.

Have a great long weekend, those who get the holiday.

LL, I hope Sheba will be okay. Holding a good thought for her.

We finally have sunshine. And it's supposed to go into the 50's. I'm going to get a nice walk in, for sure!

Have a good day, everyone!smile

I hate you!  And yes, we don't have time to go see it until this COMING Wednesday.  I basically ordered the tickets a week in advance so we could get what we wanted.

It's cold! Keeping an eye out for "wintery precipitation". It's 36 and we have been old enough that anything will stick.

I've got some chicken thighs thawing in the fridge. Just don't know what to do with them. Wanting something different. I think breakfast would e wonderful!

Back from the dentist...nightmare appointment (not the dentist's fault).

I am going to curl up in a ball & feel sorry for myself.

If you are up for making them thighs make great chicken croquettes.  Kind of a PITA process though.

Did they pull your tooth or give you a root canal?  Last time I broke one it was too far beneath the gum to save so they pulled it & I have an implant.  Dental work sucks.

I was 95% sure the tooth was history. I was right.

I love my dentist.

There were only 2 of us in the office when I got there for my 10:00 appointment. The other patient also had an extraction, but apparently her roots were so long that he had a really hard time.

He had already numbed me, but by the time he finished, it was noon...MORE shots. I had never had a "roof shot" before. Today I had TWO.

IMHO, these would be an excellent interrogation technique.

But now I'm sitting with gauze in my mouth, waiting for the bleeding to stop.

And I have my poor broken tooth...

My dentist asked me if I wanted to keep my tooth & I asked if he was nuts.  He said some people do.  I guess you are one of them.

I hope he gave you some good pain pills.

They are one of my favorite comfort foods.  You boil the chicken with onions & celery in broth.  Then you put the meat & veggies in the blender.  Add some gravy & bread crumbs.  Make them into sort of oblong meatballs, roll in egg & bread crumbs & deep fry or bake.  Fried is better but I always bake because I hate the smell of frying.  Make gravy out of the broth to serve.

I like chicken & dumplings too.

I probably only thought of them because my mom just made a big batch & brought me 4.  I love them.  I would send you some if I could.  She brought me some after I had my last dental surgery & I was almost moaning they were so good.  I had been in pain for a week & it made me naseous & it was the first real food I had eaten.

Grrrrr, I just noticed Baby J's immunization records have the wrong name, so I called the doctor to get it fixed, and only a NURSE can print the form, and it is a 24 hour turn around. Plus, they are going to charge me for it b/c it's not an appt. day, even though they didn't give me a new one last time she got shots. I need it tomorrow morning. This doctor's office takes FOREVER on everything, and if they piss me off today - I will probably just change doctors.

They are hers.  They still have her previous name on there from before the adoption was final.

A little good news, though - I finally got a birth certificate yesterday!  Now, I am shown to have given birth in a state I have never stepped foot in.

 Gotcha.

Wait, they changed her birth certificate when you legally adopted her?  I didn't know they did that.  I just assumed her birth parents would be listed on the cert & you on the adoption papers.  Not that I really gave it much thought.

Yep.  Adoption was final April 29, 2014 and it was FINALLY re-issued on January 8, 2015, which I recieved yesterday.  It looks like I had a child in Casper, Wyoming.

You need to stop that Flan.  It is going to become a very expensive habit if you keep breaking teeth.  Not to mention painful.

That is so annoying. It's not that hard to get a child's name correct. Can you make an appointment just to avoid the fee? Or, perhaps remind them you didn't get one as you should've so they should waive the fee?

The receptionist at DS's pediatrician was stubborn about putting DS's suffix on his records. I'm still not sure what was so difficult about putting his suffix on his records.
