The mom bought them booze , gave them drugs and rented a hotel room. And mom and the BF did not call 911 and actually changed her clothes before calling anyone.
The mother of the man suspected in the prom night death of his 17-year-old girlfriend helped attempt to cover it up, according to prosecutors.
Assistant Harris County District Attorney Bill Exley said 18-year-old Eddie Herrera called his mother the morning after the prom upon waking up and finding Jackie Gomez deceased in their hotel room bed. Upon the mother's arrival, Exley said, "She told police that she found Ms. Gomez nude and that she dressed her body."
After that, the prosecutor said Herrerra's mother called the hotel operator looking for a doctor. It was the hotel then that helped call 9-1-1.
Gomez died May 7 following the MacArthur High School prom, which was held in the Hyatt North Houston. She and her boyfriend stayed in a room there, despite her apparent agreement with her mother to return home by midnight. Investigators say her mother reported her as missing by sunrise the following morning.
Prosecutor Exley says Herrera admitted to choking Gomez during sex following the prom. But Herrera is charged with Aggravated Assault and not murder, as the medical examiner has not yet been able to determine the cause of her death.
While prosecutors say an autopsy revealed severe bruising around her neck, toxicology testing also revealed she had hydrocodone in her system and a blood alcohol level of .21. Investigators say Herrera's mother supplied the young couple both hydrocodone and whiskey.
Herrera's mother has not been charged with any crime, though the investigation continues.
Herrera could face up to life in prison if convicted.

If you want your kid home at midnight, be the driver. Not that I blame her parents. This particular mother needs to be held responsible as does her son.

The name of the drug sounds familiar, but I can't place it. What does it do?
What is hydrocodone?
Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.
Zohydro ER and Hysingla ER are extended-release forms of hydrocodone that are used for around-the-clock treatment of severe pain. Extended-release hydrocodone is not for use on an as-needed basis for pain.
Important information
Hydrocodone can slow or stop your breathing. Never use this medicine in larger amounts, or for longer than prescribed. Do not crush, break, or open an extended-release pill. Swallow it whole to avoid exposure to a potentially fatal dose. Hydrocodone may be habit-forming, even at regular doses. Never share this medicine with another person, especially someone with a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a place where others cannot get to it.

MISUSE OF NARCOTIC MEDICATION CAN CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSE, OR DEATH, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription.

Why the F#CK has she not been charged with a laundry list of crimes???
No sh!t. People freak the fvck out when a parent let's their 10 year old kid go play in the park by themselves, but apparently plying them with not only booze but DRUGS, as well, is hunky-dory. Not to mention the whole "ickiness" factor of renting the motel room (though that probably isn't a crime in and of itself).
