snow is moving in earlier than expected. Will be snowing here by 4 pm. I will be leaving work early. Prediction is 20" for this time tomorrow. up to 3' of snow in a 24 hour period.

I have to figure out the grocery store thing. It was crazy busy yesterday, couldn't get into the parking lot. But I have to go today. thinking of working 1/2 day. I've been up for hours worrying about this. The storm is starting hours earlier than expected. That's how blizzards roll.

Morning.

We didn't get anything but rain again. We have had so much rain the ground is saturated and anything that comes down now just pools on top of the ground. It's like walking on a wet sponge.

IKWTDS, our schools would have already closed and the grocery store shelves would be picked clean. My plan, if it were me, would be to keep the kids out of school, go to the store as soon as it was daylight and then get home before any of the real craziness started. Cause I know I would be in the store and then the schools would panic and start sending kids home with less than 30 minutes warning. They have done that more often than not around here. What ever you do, stay safe. Don't forget the batteries.

NJN, would it matter what shape the marshmallows are? Once they get hot, wont they just melt? What flavor cupcakes are you going to make? I was thinking of making a devil's food cake today myself. LOL. I had angel food last week. Take a picture of your cupcake. I want to see if it works. It'll be too cute if it does.

Last night's weather said 2 feet for Boston. Our supermarket was crazy yesterday but I managed to get the goods.

Working today, babysitting Little Man after work at my house.

Our storm is supposed to get going heavy starting tonight. I hope DD and SIL can get here to pick him up tonight!

Or else he'll have his first sleepover at Grammy's!

Mr.VoR's company pulled all their drivers from Ohio and east of there. The weather and roads are too rowdy to keep them out on the roads. I'm so relieved he's safe and off the roads. He will use this time to reset.

Hope every one stays warm and safe.

It's 57 here and I have a ton of yardwork to do today. Going to buy flowers for our hanging planters.

It's going to be in the 50's again today. Unusual for us this time of year, but I'll take it.

Got up this morning to a wet bathroom. The floor was wet all the way around the toilet and the seat was wet. Called the city to see if they were doing something with the sewers and she said they were blowing out the lines. Not what I wanted to clean up first thing in the morning.

It was predicting from 1-3" with maybe 3-6" of snow. Now I am located in the 12-18". The only section of PA that is calling for that much is where I live.

I hope DH got that snow blower fixed last year. If not, the neighbors on both sides have working ones. I already pulled the car to the narrow part of the driveway between the house and the fence.

Flan, no it doesn't happen often. They just had a company come out to clean the lines. They do this maybe every few years. Never had it blow water into my house though.

Ed, I can see where it can happen. I'm just glad I cleaned the toilet last night! LOL! It just took a wad of paper towels to wipe it up. (No, I didn't put the paper towels in the toilet when I was done!)

It is 38 now.

And the wind is freezing.

We might have some flurries. If we do, it may just close the schools.

Yep. As long as there is heat and a nice selection of board games, cards and activities to keep everyone happy.

And nothing is more fun than playing in the snow. Hot chocolate can keep a kid going for ours.

The freezers and fridge are stocked.
There is enough hot chocolate and tea.
The shovels and snow blower are at the ready.
Laundry is done. Fuzzy jammies are ready.
Movies are downloaded.
I just need DH to come home.
