Know why I woke up? It was a combination of C and Monster going to the bathroom and the heat. It's 43 and stuffy. It's going to storm.

We need a good rain though. People were trying to burn yesterday caught half the county on fire. It was bad enough that the FD did a robo call to tell people to stay indoors and why.

"Hey Myrtle! It's a nice day. Think I'll burn some of trash we got."
"What about the wind Frank?"
"That'll just keep me cool around the fire!"

I swear. People are stupid.

When I call to do the my burn notification they tell me what the fire danger is. We are required to call the forestry people whenever we want to burn yard debris.

Back to work today. I don't mind working Sundays. Last Sunday was snow & freezing rain. I think it's in the 40's already.

Off for my last day of being the "hospitality coordinator". We have had a lot of great feedback about the teams and the girls and it has been fun catching up with our friends. But I am exhausted and ready for a break. 7am-midnight the last few days is catching up with me.

Going to ask a dumb question - why are people burning their trash? Do they not have garbage collection? That is kind of gross, burning trash smells.

We could not even burn leaves any place we ever lived, it was illegal. Burning anything outside was against the law and a sure way to get the police at your house.

I'm bummed this morning. DGF is very sick and we will not get to spend time with them today. Just a quick trip to get DS's extra car and a quick kiss to DGS and that's about it.
Did I say I was bummed?

Going to yoga. Have to dvr WD and wait til Mr.VoR gets home to watch it.

We had a burn barrel when I was growing up. Most folks did. I hate the smell of smoke but I don't recall it smelling like actual garbage.

My ribs and arms and stomach are still sore. I'm doing the 90 minute class and then an hour of pose assistance class. I'm trying so hard not to throw up or die that my poses are wonky.

Ttyl! Have a great day.

VoR, I don't know about your yoga class. From what you've said on other threads, it sounds really difficult. Yoga shouldn't be that hard.

I've been taking classes and doing yoga for over ten years, and my friend is a yoga teacher, so I know a fair amount about it.

Your class sounds overly strenuous. I hope your teacher is not pushing you too hard. A good  teacher should not, and should be showing you how to modify poses to suit your own limitations. Is it a hatha class?

We can only burn yard debris.  I live outside city limits but we have strict ordinances.  Can't burn within 75 feet of a structure.  Can't burn within 75 feet of the road. Can't burn in a ditch ($5,000 fine). Can only burn between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. Can't burn household trash. There's more just can't remember right now.

Hope you can get some rest.

As for the burning, people burn around here. garbage collection is for the rich. We don't have garbage collection and you take it to the transfer stations yourself.

This burning was probably more of pasture and yard burning that got away from them. Easy to do with the high winds we have been having.

And you can still have burn barrels in some parts of the county.

I got to see him waaaayyy back when he was starting out. He had just became a household name and I saw him at a smaller venue. It was in Memorial auditorium and we were on the front row.

I got pushed right up to the front of the stage and he reached down and grabbed my hand and held it for a little bit and then put it on his knee.

It was then the crazy side took over and run my hand all the up as far as I could get it.

Yes. I molested Garth Brooks. Shame on me.

In my defense, I wasn't the only one and he really didn't seem to mind.

Czech, sorry to hear she is sick. Hope she feels better fast.

Flan, maybe you can see Itty later today.

I must be getting old. I just spent an hour watching the Sumit cup. Know what that is? It's like the Super bowl of fishing tournaments. And I enjoyed it.

I saw a brief snippet on the fires this morning. It was over at the base of the mountain and it started as a control burn but the wind got behind it. That happens. It was over and done in about an hour. Mostly more smoke than actual fire. If we haven't had all the rain we have had, it would have been a lot worse.

But it is that time of year. People are getting fields and pastures and other areas cleaned and ready to use.

I had rather smell smoke than when they clean out a chicken house. That is the worst smell ever.

It's in the 40's again today. Snow is melting fast. Vast difference from last Sunday. I need to start building a Lego robot so I can learn the programming before I restart the program at the end of the month. I also have a couple of loads of laundry to do, and need to clean my bedroom.

I would also like to go walk today, but my shoulders hurt pretty badly today, so I won't be doing that.

We grilled last weekend I think. Just burgers and dogs.

I thought we were done with the Legos but this last Christmas a nice large container of them showed up under the tree. And since then, J has bought a few sets of the new Bionicles.

I made taco soup last night. Everyone says they hate it and then when I made it they all loved it. I swear, sometimes I want to ring all their necks. The other day I tried a different version of your chicken Lily. It called for mayo, parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs. We really liked it.

We're doing heart shaped hamburgers for Valentines day. I preordered some mylar balloons at the Dollar Store. I'm going to make cupcakes. I need to find something else to make too.

Valentine's day is my brother's birthday. It would have also been our great grandfather's birthday.

I really hope we wait until Sunday to do something for his birthday. Every where will be covered up on the 14th with people in lurve.

Gag.

I got A a big bag of beef jerky, J gets a Duck Dynasty box of chocolate. I don't have any idea what to get C.
