We count down to Winter break this week. Winter break next week. Then Spring break in April and then out for Summer in May. This school year is almost over.

Can some one tell me when the comb over became a popular hair style? I see it in the young people. They part their hair way down on one side and then comb it all over to the other side. It looks really ridiculous to me. Kind of looks like they have some kind of head injury they are trying to hide.

My bedroom looks so much bigger today. We had a loveseat at the foot of our bed, and we took it out yesterday b/c it just becomes a catch-all for clean clothes. It makes a HUGE difference!

I've decided to be jolly. I am HAPPILY going to go shovel and snow blow in the 12 degree heat wave we have going on and then I am going to play in the beautiful white drifting snow.

Good morning. One of our local schools is on lockdown because of a bomb threat. The threat was spray painted on the building. It says "bomb threat 2/09/2015 10:30" It's probably a middle schooler. But, they spelled bomb and threat correctly so there's that. Dumb asses.

I got woke up by pounding on my door. Water department letting me know water will be off from 8:30 - 11. Got up and got my coffee made.

Have to go get emissions done on the truck and then to the gym.

Sorry bout the snow. We're on track to beat a record here. It'll be in the high 80's.

Snowshoeing is a good way to enjoy all that snow. I like that idea.

Oh! I plan on snowshoeing later too. I have to go check my dryer vent so might as well snow shoe around the yard. I will try to remember to bring the camera out with me.

A winter break AND a spring break?! Lucky ducks. We don't get either. Just a 4 day weekend for Easter.

My poor baby is allergic to fleas. He needs an antibiotic + Capstar + another med. I'm out almost $300.

Where is a good place, on line, to shop for window treatments?
I've looked at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Sears and JCPenny's. I wasn't impressed with anything at any of those sites.

Flan. I just saw a pet segment talking about dogs and flea allergies.

One thing they showed was a "shampoo" that conditions the skin of a dog that is allergic to fleas.

It was 3 cups water, 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon coconut oil and a table spoon of natural soap. They said you could get that at any holistic store.

Mix it and keep it in a spray bottle. It is great for washing the dog but can also be used to spot treat them. Like if they are scratching a lot just give them a spray and rub it into their coat to their skin.

Havent tried it but they said it was wonderful at soothing the skin.

And said to put some lavender oil or eucalyptus oil on the dogs collar or bandana and that helps repel fleas.

Some natural solutions for after you get this flare under control.
