Last night DD had a friend over. They had just downloaded music to their iPods. They started singing REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight this Feeling" DD was MORTIFIED when I sang along, not because of my voice, but because I knew the song. I told her that song was my music when I was a teen. I think she was devastated.
So what embarrasses your kids. This part of life is fun!

For a while C didn't want me to say I love you in front of her friends. So we came up with code. We would whatever each other.
By the time C graduated we had the whole drama group saying spaghetti instead of break a leg.
I told her I would say break a leg to her because she is my child and probably would. So we came up with spaghetti.
And that was freshman year. Then it caught on and everyone was saying it.
But she thought it was cool.
I cant think of anything.

DD23 thinks it's awesome that her parents love each other - most of her friends have divorced or blatantly miserable parents. DD16 though, she is repulsed by the thought. Lol.

My boys are 22 & 26, and I try not to embarrass them too much...LOL
My parents never EVER showed any physical affection...not even hugs. I chose to live my life differently.
Heck, MM, you think my kids would be grateful to know that a person's sex drive doesn't end at 40...or 50...
My kids cringe at my singing loudly. The grand's love it!
Oh, and bedroom sounds still creep the kids out. And they hate DH mentioning anything remotely related to our bedroom.
Their parents do not do those things.
Lol. DH asked DD if she wanted the dog to sleep with her in her room the other night (Usually we don't allow that, her room is too messy). She was excited and asked why we didn't want the dog. DH said "well..if this room is a rockin, don't come a knockin!" She about DIED! Lol
