Today is my Friday too!!

I have lots of stores to hit today, most of them are nice so it won't be too bad. But it's cold and it snowed yesterday so it will be interesting parking and getting in and out everywhere.

It snowed here but just a little plus the roads are still treated from the last snow so they were clear. When I drove past the elementary school it looked to be closed. The last storm we got a lot more than expected so I guess they decided to play it safe.

Sounds good to me! It is 6 degrees in my town, 0 at the town which is my halfway point, and -6 at the town on my way home. It would be MUCH easier and warmer to send them to you!!

I took my extra blanket off my bed. I was too hot at night with it on. I washed it but didn't get around to folding it & putting it back in the closet. Now it is Dez's bed.

DH and DD are on spring break all this week and next week. Since I was headed out to work today, I asked him if he could do me a favor and strip the bed today. It's got dog hair all over and needs washed. He gave me a big sigh said he would see if he could get around to it. He was being serious.

When a woman is on vacation...we get the cupboards cleaned out, bedding washed, dried and replaced, closets cleaned out and organized, basement cleaned, doctors appointments scheduled, meals made, children taken care of...shoot, we do that when we are working a full week! DH is on the struggle bus stripping the bed. Sheesh.

I think I might go with my dad this afternoon to see my mom again. Apparently yesterday they came to do a couple of tests - an MRA and some bubble test that checked to see if there is a hole in her heart - and she got really stubborn and didn't want the tests. It got so bad that the nurse called my sister to talk to her. About that same time, a friend of ours that works at the hospital went to see her, and went with her to her MRA test. The friend said she could see how drastically mom's personality has changed. So, mom is starting to be nasty to other people too. To us, it's still her, just amplified. She's always been this way to an extent.

A stroke will amplify a personality to an extreme one way or the other. A friends DH had a stroke and he became violent toward his wife and three young daughters, to the point that my friend was advised to divorce him to protect the children and herself. Yeah, that was a bad case of personality change, but it happens.

Sorry this is happening to your mom. It is hard to watch and endure. Sending warm thoughts your way.

My plan is coming together nicely. I will be surprising my BFF by flying down for her birthday party next month. I have conspired with her boyfriend and her boss. We have gotten her the day of her party off work and I'm going to tell her I bought her a spa day as a present and BF helped me get her the day off as a surprise. She'll have no idea that I'm going to the spa with her!! I'm so excited!

Anyway, funny story (to me). I had a neighbor kid stay with DD yesterday while I went to work. She also is my dog walker. I didn't have enough cash to pay her in full yesterday. I walked down to their house a bit ago. Our dogs are BFFs. Remember our snow banks are like 6 feet high and you can't see around them. We get to their driveway and Sonny's BFF must have seen us and comes running at Sonny. Sonny was startled, hadn't seen him and actually jumped backwards. I nearly peed my pants it was so funny. My neighbor came running because he heard a "squeal" and thought his dog had been hit by a car or some such. Nope, just my dog squealing, like a pig...

I almost ran over my own stupid cat this morning. He got behind me in the road when I was backing out of the driveway & couldn't get back on the sidewalk because of the snow banks (not 6'). I had to stop & let him walk back up the driveway since the apron is cleared.
