Lama's on the loose in AZ

Can't find a news report but it's all over the tv.  Lama's running free on the road.  And EVERYWHERE.  They're trying to catch them but they have no idea where they came from!

Well, that was kind of fun. Though it didn't last long. The lama's have all been apprehended and are in custody. It was fun watching them roping lama's.

It didn't say. It was a short lived but really funny thing to watch. I'm sure you can google it and see. I tried but no stories came up yet. Although it was going on at the time. It was hilarious to watch. They were driving down the street roping the lama's.

And no lama's were harmed in the making of the incident.

Just Googled. It said it was near Sun City. Way on the other side of the Valley from me.

Probably spitting on an officer. I hear those llamas can get some serious yardage with their spit.

They were from a local farm, visiting an assisted living facility, when they got loose.

Totally tame, but they still don't know what spooked them.

Wikipedia:

"Llamas appear to have originated from the central plains of North America about 40 million years ago. They migrated to South America about three million years ago. By the end of the last ice age (10,000–12,000 years ago), camelids were extinct in North America.[4] As of 2007, there were over seven million llamas and alpacas in South America, and due to importation from South America in the late 20th century, there are now over 158,000 llamas and 100,000 alpacas in the United States and Canada.[6]"

I love llama's. And this thread has made me realize two things. I can't spell llama. And spell check doesn't correct the word llama.

That WAS funny. Watching them trying to catch the llamas. I'm glad they didn't get hit by a car. Can you imagine driving down the road and seeing a couple llamas running around being chased by people trying to tackle them?

It was HYSTERICAL. Funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Yep, I'm glad none of them got hurt. But it was one of those funny news stories that made you laugh and smile. That doesn't happen often.
