Good morning! Mr.VoR gets home today! I ha e to do a quick surface clean of the house, pull some steaks out for dinner and vacuum. I can't get dolled up because I have a kickboxing class at 11:30 and yoga at 4:30. But, he will think I'm beautiful anyway. Can't wait to see him!
Hope all have a safe and positive day! (I had to put the heater on this morning but it isn't nearly as cold as what y'all are dealing with)

I think we've only gotten a couple inches. But it's started snowing again. My car is already covered and I've only been here half an hour
Ook, well, it seems there is a great variation in snow totals here. We are right on the line of the storm. My house, north of town only got about 2" with maybe another to come. Where I work, more like 4". and the count south of us got 8"! It's supposed to taper off by afternoon and just be cold.
I leave for Florida in one week. actually, one week from about right now!
Temps are finally going up here. It will be 32 today, 50 tomorrow, and by Sunday, 60's.
I haven't had a cold in probably 3 years, and now I have one. I hope I don't start feeling any worse than I already do. I have this stupid Lego program that starts Saturday. I really am not looking forward to it. Hopefully once it starts, I will feel differently.
School was on a 2 hour delay, then this morning at 6 they canceled it for today.
I pulled up my radar at that time and we were bullseye for a one, two punch at any time.
But it went around us and we have a very cold rain.
Hope every one has a great day.

Hello friends! I made it back home, safely! Wow, what a fun trip. :) Four days with baby DGS! He has grown so much in the last three weeks. He's rolling all over already! I think grandma may have spoiled him just a bit. I never put him down.. (sigh) Gave him the last kisses this morning just before I hit the road. I miss him already. DD's birthday is today. We are going out for supper and having cake here later tonight. She called me at 6:23 this morning to remind me that it was her birthday. I wasn't awake yet. We had met my sister and BIL for supper last night and we enjoyed a few...
The temp was 8 degrees when I left Omaha, and it was 40 here when I got home a little while ago. Can I say spring!
Did I mention that I visited a quilt shop? I'm embarrassed to say how much I spent.
Sorry about all the ice down south and the snow dump in the southeast up to the northeast. Winter is not giving you guys a break yet. Hope it warms up for all soon.

Wasssuppp! Tomorrow is our last staff meeting with our interim director leading it. She loves using wizard of oz references. We had a big surprise for her tomorrow. There will be a yellow brick road cake with some character figurine toppers. Rainbow streamers. People with lollipop guild striped socks. Dorothy will make an appearance. Wizard of Oz music. I got several yellow poster boards and cut them into bricks. We are going to tape them on the floor making a path to where she stands. I printed quotes from the movie and DD and I glued them to all the bricks. It's going to be so much fun!

So (puffing chest out) DD reads a lot, I've posted about that. The school had a book challenge these past few months. There were a few teams from each grade level, about 10 kids on each team. They read books and had weekly meetings to discuss the books. The "meet" was like a spelling bee; The moderator asked questions to the the teams about their respective books. Which ever team answered the most question correct won. DD's team not only won the 4th grade but then competed against the winning 5th grade team and BEAT them. So proud of her. I know she was front and center.

So, the boy is having a bad day basically his boss is being a jerk. I'll spare the exact conversation, but I said, you've got at least one thing that the the jerk doesn't. And the boy said, yeah, you. *swoon*
