I have a baking sheet and a skillet with stains. It bothers me.

Can't use baking soda. It is an abrasive. Would scratch the surface.
Oven cleaner? Wonder if it would be too strong for it?

How do you have stains on a non-stick pan?
The skillet has a white non stick surface. It isn't teflon. I can't remember what it is called. It's like ceramic.
The skillet is ceramic but the cooking surface is something else.
The baking sheet has a purple stain from a jelly spoon. I don't know why it stained it but it's there.

I end up replacing them periodically. At least the baking sheets and my main (very large) skillet. The smaller calphalon stuff I don't use as often and they are going on 15 years of use.
I can't afford to replace this skillet. It was expensive. It works great. I really love it. I just want it pretty white again.

I use mostly stainless steel. Any idea how to get those clean? I have tried vinegar and baking soda. Magic erasers , soaking, SOS pads and on and on. And, they still will get discolored. HOw do the chefs keep them so shiny.

No. Not pampered chef. I will look next time I am in the kitchen.
I have some faberware. That stuff is great. I think that is what it is.
I could try the vinegar.

My dad ruined a baking sheet putting non stick spray on it. It turned the whole thing a muddy brown and it's sticky.

I like Bar Keepers Friend- a very gentle scouring powder like product. I use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to clean my baking sheets.
Use about a 1/4 c. baking soda and enough peroxide to make a paste and scrub away.

I have a ceramic skillet. Love it! How did you get it stained? You must have scratched the ceramic. If so, it's pretty much ruined, once the ceramic is compromised it will keep flaking off. Someone must have used a metal utensil on it and was rough with it. Find that person and lynch them I say!

It still works fine. Maybe it is just part of the wearing of the skillet.

Try emailing/calling the company that made it - you can probably find them online. Maybe there is a guarantee and they will send you a replacement!
Never thought about that. Thanks.

Ceramic doesn't wear, it will break if misused.
