THE HOUSEHOLD TASK
RAY: My son was performing a common household task. He asked me, is 50 enough? No, I said, I don't think so. He said, what about 125? I said, no, I don't think that's enough either. I'd try 90.

What was he doing?

That's a stumper! How about a teeny little hint?

Microwave timer: 50 seconds, 1 minute 25 seconds, (85 seconds), and 90 seconds!

The point is that "125" is less than "90".

125 grit is less abrasive than 90 grit.

I'm thinking it's using the microwave, but if that's the case, it is a puzzler that fails using the numerical forms . The intent would be to say sixty, one twenty-five and ninety. However, the way it is written reads sixty, one hundred twenty-five, and ninety.

Either that or LL's bad math answer is the winner!

I don't think it's grits of sandpaper. The website I went to just said the standard grits are:

40, 80, 150, 240 and 600.

No 50, 90 or 125. Unless this particular website is wrong.

How about a teensy hint, ed?

50 and 125 are not enough, but 90 is? That doesn't make any sense. Please explain.

If you push the numbers on a microwave as given

50 results in 50 seconds

125 results in 1:25; 1 minute 25 seconds or 85 seconds

90 results in 90 seconds

and the task was? Cause if you think a task that takes 1 min 25 seconds is worthy of praise, you are just another stupid man.

Clearly the task was reheating some leftover stuffing on a paper plate in a 1200 watt Sanyo microwave oven.

Do you want more details???

It was one cup of turkey flavored stuffing, with one tablespoon of water (tap water) added so the top wouldn't get too dry.

Any more questions?

Riddle me this: How many people shared the leftover stuffing? And did they use spoons or forks? Plastic or metal?
