I read this and I just feel bad for the stripper. I would be really uncomfortable being asked to dance like that in front of children. Seems wrong.

But I doubt very seriously you could hire one for a 16 year old party. Think it would be breaking a couple laws.

Yes. Remember the teacher and the video? This is a very bad idea all around. And her daughter would suffer for it b/c if this happened at a party my daughter attended, that would be the last bit of time she spent with any member of that family.

I can't believe that in most jurisdictions this would not be illegal. Even at "juice" bars I've been to, the minimum age is 18.

That's what I was thinking. But if it's done in a private home, it might be legal. You can give your own child alcohol in your own home, but you can't give someone else's kid alcohol without their permission.

Still...a very very inappropriate thing to do. And if this was a male birthday celebrant, I don't think anyone would be saying its a great idea to get a stripper. So, it works both ways.

Boy, I'd be surprised. What if the kid was 12? I'm betting 18 is the cut off for such activity, private home, or not.

And I still say that if this was a boy whose dad was going to get him a stripper, the board would be up in arms talking about how inappropriate it is. I think it IS inappropriate, but for both sexes.

Well, I may have been swayed by all the hype. I watched it and I wasn't impressed. Watching a naked man gyrate on screen is no big deal. Sorry. JMO. I was thoroughly unimpressed by the whole movie. DH and I watched it together. Actually we got really bored during it.
