Today is my Friday AND I only have to work a half day today! Win win!!

Got a new supervisor and met her yesterday. I loved my last one, so I was nervous. Well the new woman is even better!! She is fricking phenomenal. Honestly I have not felt so supported at work in probably 15 years. It's rejuvenating.

The woman who hired me for my current job was a real advocate. She retired after 5 months. I miss her.

 I finally found a company that really trusts it's people and really believes that making your team happy leads to better results. They walk the walk.  It's refreshing after so many years of being used.

My Gordito tried some butternut squash ravioli last night. Small victories! And I booked my summer trip to Michigan : ) Since my daycare is closed for a week this summer I'm taking Gordito to my inlaws so he can have quality grandpa and grandma time. Looks like my husband will be working though and won't be able to make it.

OMG, I just heard a horrible story. The wife of my brother's friend was diagnosed last year with breast cancer. She went through a double mastectomy & treatment. She just went to a surgeon for reconstruction. He reviewed her files & there was absolutely no trace of cancer ever. Somebody somewhere made a terrible mistake. The hospital already contacted them to make a settlement but the way VA law works the max she is entitled to is $2 Mill. I feel so bad for her.

 Without getting too deeply into insurance law, if the doc is an employee of the hospital it is all under the same policy.  If he has his own practice maybe, but it was the pathologist who read the biopsy so I'm not so sure how negligent the doctor would be.

By any chance, was this Kaiser? They have had problems with mixing up my mother's medical records with that of a man who needed open heart surgery.

So my cousin is gay. I'm totally cool with that. He's 2 years older than me but has had a few small strokes which has impaired his judgement. I have him on my FB and had to unfollow his posts because he puts a ton of sexy guy photos on his page. I don't mind a sexy guy pic or two but he will put 20 or 30 a day. Somehow his profile got off unfollow and I looked at FB earlier and ran right into a pic of some dude's crotch in tighty whities, ugh!
