Woke up in the middle of the night. Sweating like a pig! Now I can't go back to sleep.

Well, that's no fun, NJN.

I'll probably go to Meeting, then work.

Good morning flan, NJN, and all the Good Geeks.

After the storms last night, it looks like we'll have a bright, sunny day! High around 83.

I'm going to head to the trail around the duck pond early, for a walk. I waited to long yesterday, and got cooked.wink

It's the last day of the weekend! Make it a good one!smile

I'll be taking Spouse's car for a drive. I recharged the battery yesterday, so I know it will start, and it needs to be driven so it doesn't corrode away.

Sounds like a good idea, ed.smile

Okay, the sun is coming up. Time to head out for my walk.

Talk to you all later!

Morning! Housecleaner coming in a few minutes so I've been busy decluttering. Bringing the last of my old tube TV's to a recycling/earth day event going on at DD's school. The Boy Scouts are doing an electronics recycling drive as a fund raiser. My hot neighbor helped put the TV in the back of my car yesterday.biggrin

My dog is at the groomer. I cannot handle any more wet dog smell - we tried giving her a bath ourselves, but I think it has permeated her very being. It has been raining for over a week. Problem is, it is not going to stop anytime soon, and she'll smell like wet dog again in a couple of days. You'd think she'd want to stay in, but retrievers have no problem being wet.

I did 3 laps around the duck pond.

4.3 miles in 64 minutes. I'm pretty happy with that!smile

Now, if Wayne would decide to come back from the plant, we could figure out what we're going to do with the rest of our day!

Yay...he's home!smile

Good morning!

Cloudy day here today and a bit on the cool side. We plan to enjoy a quiet day for once. We all need a quiet day here.

We did get all the big flower containers moved and refilled with fresh soil yesterday. One new one to go yet, we ran out of energy to get that one done.

I'm stumped on what to make for Sunday dinner and I really don't feel like cooking a big meal.

Hope you all are enjoying a relaxing Sunday, even those of you who have to work.

Oh, I love sub sandwiches, but I don't have any bread for subs and the local grocery is closed on Sunday.

Right now, tomato soup and grilled cheese sounds good to me.

Hey Ya'll.

Sounds like everyone is having a relatively nice day.

More rain for us. we are beyond saturated. Flooding is happening in some areas. Not wide spread yet.

I took Nyquil last night. That stuff lays me out. Now I have a hangover.

Gonna watch some Once Upon a Time and mess around online.

We will pick at left overs. No one really wants to eat right now.

Have a great day Ya'll.

I hope you feel better soon, Lily!

And, thank goodness, I caught a break. Finally!

Wayne and Mere just took off on their bikes. Headed for downtown.

Paul and I will play chase Jeep, and meet them for lunch at Chuy's at 1:30.

Conor and Jessi will meet us, too. If they get Dutchess back from the groomer in time.

I don't have to walk anywhere, for a couple of hours! Yee Haw!!!biggrin

I'm back! Lots of catching up to do!

Finally got enough space cleared to get on my 'puter last night. We're mostly unpacked. Will probably be the organization stage for the better part of a month.

DS is adjusting well to having his own room and has already made some friends in the complex. He's loving having a bigger indoor space to run around in too. I absolutely love having a washer/dryer in unit again. I did 3 loads my first night here. Had to put the machines through their paces! I loathe doing dishes but don't mind laundry so DH and I struck a deal. He is the Executive Dishwasher and I am the Executive Laundress. We'll help each other when necessary, of course.

I decided today will be a relax day. I got three of the six final projects done plus 2 classes weekly work.

I have a Sip-n-See to see my cousin's new baby. And I have no idea what to get as a present. Are there different rules for Muslims?

This cousin is relatively new to me. She found me last year while trying to look for her dad's half-sister who happens to be my mom (They had the same womb-donor). I knew she existed but had no idea where they were as Uncle was military and moved a lot. Add in that Uncle and Mom/Dad had a massive falling out just after cousin was born.

Sorry, I'm not sure what to bring as a present. I'm sure a cute outfit, or a stuffed animal and a couple of bibs, would be appreciated.

Thanks smile

I'm glad we have a hall closet. It's being used as a multipurpose closet - appliances, Pyrex, and chemicals (way up on the top shelf). All things DS is forbidden from playing with. We've childproofed the door handle. You should see his face when he tries to get the handle open. It pisses him off that he can't open it and he throws a tantrum. Oh well! wink

I've never been to a Sip-n-See before either. Apparently, it's an open house to meet & greet the baby. Well, off to shower and hit the Carter's outlet if I have time. If not, a Target gift card.

And now, I'm a little sore. I just took a couple of Advil, to ward of the aches.

I'm going to try to take it a little easier for the rest of the day.

A sip and see is where the adults, usually women, get together and sip the beverage of their choice. Wine, tea, coffee, juice. The new mom usually will drink what she normally drinks if she is BF or maybe have some wine if she is not. The women talk about babies and parenting and women stuff. They will "see" the baby. Hold it and pass it around. Thus, "sip and see". It's like a modern day version of a baby shower. If it were me I would bring a baby shower gift. Unless she's already had a shower then I would bring a token gift for the new mom like say maybe a nice hand lotion.

I've never been to a Sip-n-See before either. Apparently, it's an open house to meet & greet the baby. Well, off to shower and hit the Carter's outlet if I have time. If not, a Target gift card.

 Maybe it involves sipping wine!

 Oooooh! I'm in!
