Too often firefighters come upon a vehicle accident where the parent(s) are unconscious and there are children in the car who are too young to communicate useful information. Here is a tip for all you parents out there: place a sticker on each child's car seat providing firefighters and emergency personnel valuable information such as child's name, DOB, parents names, emergency contact information, any medical conditions the child may have and medications. Also, please remember to update this information as needed. As first responders, we do thoroughly look at the car seats after a traffic collision, they can tell us a lot about the damage suffered and the impact itself. We will find these stickers if you place them in a spot where the information is not easily seen from the outside of the car if you are worried about others having that information.
Took me forever and I had to reboot but this is the picture. Such a good idea. I would have never thought of it. Apparently some fire departments make these stickers.

I think this is an awesome idea. Something I would never have thought of! Even if the parent is okay in a car accident sometimes things slip your mind. Like the doctors number or whatever. I really seriously think this is awesome.

I did it with DD7 but still need too with baby A. It's also good for if your baby is in the car with someone besides you(a babysitter) and is in a wreck. They wouldn't know who the baby is without it.
I didn't even think about that NAOW, but that's just another good reason to do it. I honestly don't see any negatives to this.

DH and I don't have any family here, so on our phones, our ICE also includes a contact that states we have pets at home, and the number of a local pet sitter and a neighbor, both of whom have our house key and know our dogs. That way if something happens to us, our animals can be cared for.

What good pet parents you are. I never would have thought of that.
