I don't like lightning and heavy rain.

It's pretty at a distance.

We've had a couple of momentary power outages in the last 15 minutes.

Not fond of that either.

Meh. That's kind of normal here. The lightening and rain.

But you seem to have more power outages than we do.

I actually kind of like it if I'm all snug at home. My power company is great. I've only lost power twice in 15 years & both times it was because a transformer or something had blown. On a few occasions it has knocked out the cable TV.

For some strange reason we are on the same transformer as the park. The only house in the neighborhood to have power if it goes out in the block.

I am thankful if all it does is knock out power. A few years back, we got hit here, and lost more than a few computers, monitors, printers, etc. Oh, and having the surge protection didn't work, it didn't go through the wiring. Basically, it nailed everything that had a com port.

Storms are spotty here, not bad in my town. But a friend in a town about 20 miles away just had a huge tree come down on her pool! While diapering a poopy baby and well, that didn't end well. I am still laughing.

Funny that we just had a pretty serious thunderstorm pop up here about 10 minutes ago.

According to the TV the Dallas area and parts of Mississippi are under tornado warnings and watches.

Hope all our geeks are keeping an eye on things and are safe.

I like lightning. As long as it doesn't actually strike a person or cause any serious damage. I think it's beautiful.

I love the lightning here in AZ. Beautiful heat lightning during summer. Monsoon also often brings some glorious lightning. I've never been struck by lightning - thank God! - but I was temporarily blinded once by a very close bolt of lightning. Very, very bright flash!

Desert storms are absolutely awesome. Can't wait for monsoon!
