I'm up. Need to get things done. Going with the kids to a baseball game later today and we will have a late lunch out prior to the game. DS is taking DD Mother's Day shopping this morning.

LL that's great you are doing the yard sale, perfect timing.

Soggy Saturday here.

Just waiting for more storms to hit.

Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same.

Washout weekend for us. I hope the hail and tornadoes stay away.

I hope you all have a better weekend weather wise, than North Texas is going to have.wink

Have a fun Saturday, everyone!smile

Beautiful here. Gonna be 85. Headed to the gym. Need to tidy the house a little and pick up a few things at the store, then who knows.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I am up but not by choice. DH was snoring too loudly. I will get my revenge soon. I set the alarm on a Saturday.

Township is having a toxic materials disposal event. We have a few things to get rid of. Gpop had muriatic acid and mercury that we will never use. I'm sure there is more stuff in basement. We cleaned out the garage pretty good.

Then off to breakfast and maybe the nursery for more gardening stuff.

Back home to finish at least one of the garden beds. Hopefully, neighbor's nephew will come over to help.

I have two more loads of laundry to finish today and then I am done for a while. The kitchen floors still need to be done too.

If I get most of it done today, then I can relax tomorrow and finish it on Monday.

Dinner will be the ribs I got on sale for half price. Then to relax by the fire pit tonight with a beverage or three.

Soggy soggy soggy! Rain (again!) and thunderstorms today, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. We'll need to wear our pontoon boots. But it sure will make the watermelons happy!

Storms are about to hit.

If I disappear, it probably means I lost electricity, cable, or both.

I should get fins and goggles. I'll be able to swim in my backyard later.wink

All this rain is getting kind of old.cry

Thanks flan, we'll try!

On the bright side, this first band of storms slid just North of us.

I know more is coming behind it.

But for now, I still have power and cable! smile

You are busy jlbear!

I have learned from this weekend so far too stop complementing FMIL's things. If I say, for example, her purse is cute she insists on trying to give it to me! It's getting wearing turning down all her possessions! :p

Busy now, rest later.

FWM, That's a bit of water but better outside than inside.

Hope it drys up for those that need it. Wish it would rain where it is needed. We've been getting just the right amount here.

Roger that, jlbear!

I couldn't imagine cleaning up after a flood, inside my house.

I think I'd rather have the darn thing burn to the ground, and start over again with a new house, than have to clean up that kind of mess.cry

Wayne took the kids out to lunch. I had already eaten some leftovers, so I'm running the sweeper, while no one is around to bitch about the noise.

Well, no one except the cats! They are giving me the evil eye!wink

That's a lot of water! You might need a drain?

The party was fun. The boys enjoyed face painting, clowns, balloon animals, and good food. I am always amazed at the gall of some of the people there. I saw people taking centerpieces home with them, and the party wasn't half way over. I saw people grabbing balloon decorations, and I saw people yelling at the wait staff because they were removing dirty empty plates from tables. No class.

We need to fill the low spots with some fill dirt, and grade it down hill, since our yard slopes down to the fence. I think that will solve the issue.(Fingers crossed!)wink

Holy moly! Some folks just don't belong out in polite society, with the rest of us. That's just crazy!no

We've had so much rain that my driveway is under water. Seriously, two inches underwater. One side is higher than the other just ever so slightly but it makes enough of a difference that if you are sitting on the passengers side you don't step in a puddle. If you are the driver you will jump into about an ankle deep puddle.

I was very angry. And embarrassed. Not sure why, I just was. I guess I didn't want to be associated with that lot. But it was fun for the boys, and nice to see the doctors and staff members that were so much a part of our life for the two years it took to start our family.

Should I go to the store later or not? Let's vote? I don't NEED to but I WANT to. But the grocery store I'm going to has all kinds of tents set up in the parking lot for MD. Sure to be crowded.

Just check you local radar, and plan to go when you're not going to be hit with a storm!

DH rarely gets leftovers anymore since I am home more now. I end up being able to eat my own leftovers for lunches.

I am done for the day. Got one of the new garden beds done. Nothing planted yet, that will be tomorrow or Monday. I will level out bed #2 on Monday or Wednesday and start to fill it.

Ok, so I had to endure my sister's SIL's bridal shower this morning. And now I guess we are having a "group dinner" with her inlaws. At some restaurant I've never heard of and I do not have high hopes for. This day kinda sucks.

I am oh so jealous Flan. I didn't get lunch because they didn't serve anything I eat at the shower except chips (and no, I don't expect to be catered to). And now we are going some place of their choosing and I'm sure dinner is going to be underwhelming. I see a late-night snack in my future

Haha. Nice try. Dinner was at least as bad as expected. I ordered shrimp bisque and the salad bar. The salad bar was fine, I'll give them that. The shrimp bisque was basically tomato soup with some tiny (like rice Krispy size) chunks of what I assume was shrimp. The thing is, I hate tomato soup. Then the waitress spilled "green bean juice" down my back. There were 9 of us, my sister called ahead, they only set up a table for 8, so one was on the end. The waitress told us at least 5 times she would have put us at a bigger table but "they didn't tell me there were 9, they said there was going to be 7"

Everyone else said how great it was. I have no desire to go back there. Ever.

Good Lord DG, lock the door and chill in your room by yourself, oh and order out! Get your own damn pizza.

The kids did the mother's day thing today. We grilled steak tips and they gave me some great cards and wonderful for the garden, 1 dozen white roses, and candles. DS also did a bunch of stuff around the house. We went to the AAA baseball game, and it sucked so we left halfway through. Just chilling now.
