I Just Had An Idea....What do you guys think?

Who's Mere?

I loved Italy. We spent our honeymoon there. The food was out of this world. I gained 10 lbs probably while we were there.

What part of Italy? We flew into Milan, took a connecting flight to Rome. Spent a few days there, a few days in Florence, trained down to Naples where we got a car and drove to Sorrento. Spent a few days there, stopped through Pompeii, another day or two in Naples, them home. Another time we spent a couple days in Venice before boarding a cruise ship to Greece.

I think it's a wonderful idea. What girl wouldn't want a chance to have some daddy/daughter time. Building their relationship while schlepping around another country will be something she will never ever forget. What a beautiful idea.

(Does this mean we get to meet for lunch again?)

She a full fledged adult. I'm not sure of her exact age but she's already graduated college. FWM doesn't mind me telling you that I'm sure.

FWM doesn't like to travel around. I like her company. We hang out when our husbands are gone!

My mother doesn't have a passport. She has no desire to leave the U.S. However, her friend is on a river cruise currently and giving a blow by blow and my mother's interest is peaked.

Yes. She did a People to People International trip when she was 12.

The British Isles.

She renewed her passport when she was going to do an internship in Spain, when she was at Texas A&M.

The internship fell through, but her passport is still good! smile

Just a little funny... Last time FWM and I were out together she went in to try on clothes. My ex b/f called to say hi. He asked what I was doing. I told him it was funny he asked. That at that exact moment I was doing my wifely duty. He asked what exactly that was. I told him meeting the girls for lunch and spending his hard earned money! He laughed and told me he felt sorry for my husband!

Add, she's just worked up her nerve, to start applying for jobs again.

(She graduated from college right after the market crashed. All the food companies quit hiring. So, her confidence was shaken, when she couldn't find a job.

Now, some of them are hiring, and she's applying for two or three different jobs. I think she wants to hang around, in case she gets called in for an interview.)

Tell her if they call while she's gone she can set up an appointment to come in when she gets back. Honestly, if a company can't wait to do an interview for a few days there's something seriously wrong with the company.

You might want to go to Mexico sometime.

I got a passport when I got this job. Actually right before, because my soon to me boss told me

that there was a national sales meeting coming up in Cancun, and I should be prepared.

I'm paranoid about going to countries where the legal system is very different from ours,

or someplace where the rule of law is for sale.

So I didn't really want to go to Cancun, but I wanted this job.

The resort was wonderful.
