We spent yesterday evening scrubbing the deck in preparation of paintin it with that deck restoration paint. It looks really good already. I didn't know the wood could be so dirty. It's on the north side of the house so it doesn't get a lot of sun.

Today is a half day too. I wouldn't make them go if they didn't have finals. They have 3 class finals today. Which makes no since to me. They took all their course finals over the last week and a half.

So, MIL went into surgery last night at 10:45 and came out okay at 2:15. Do not know what the word is this morning yet. DH got home at almost 5:00 and we finally went to sleep. It's now 7:50 and I feel wide awake. Tired but awake. But a person who refuse to wear hearing aids is in the living room. Mom and I argued a bit and then talked it out last night.

I hope everyone enjoys their last day of school and those who are sick feel better.

We have the last day of regular classes today. Next week is finals -- except for seniors who have an A in a class, they are exempt from finals. I need to start mentally preparing myself for graduation. It's going to be rough. DH has coached forever so I am used to graduation time, but it's different when you live with the kids. You get more attached. And because it's a boarding school, they won't be back for vacations or breaks. Sad times.

Trying to get some work done today, then off to my romantic night away! 😍

Guess what we've decided to put in our family room and study? wink

The carpeting in the dining room and living room is still in great shape. It just needs to be cleaned. We'll keep that, for a while longer.

I used my Walmart savings catcher bucks to order a Rug Doctor. That should be delivered next week.

Well Lexxy, when you mentioned it, it jogged my memory. I've seen it used a lot on HGTV.

And when I mentioned the idea to my sister Irene, she said that she had seen it in a lot of homes, during the Parade of Homes in Columbus. And that people were getting on their hands and knees, trying to figure out if it was wood or tile. She said it looks fantastic!

Yep, I first saw it on HGTV too. Maybe a year or so ago. I asked a friend who does contracting about it & he said it was good stuff. Sadly he suffered a heart attack & died before he could do it for me. I asked another friend who specializes in kitchens & baths & he said they sold it at Lowes & Home Depot. I just assumed it was a specialty product that I'd have to go to a flooring place for. You girls have fun.

I'm surprising mu husband by getting my CDL learners permit. Taking the written test next week. Terrifying.

We went to Ohio for 10 days. Looked at houses. Found nothing.

Grandson due in June.

Buying new furniture this weekend. Giving my sectional to a friend so that is forcing my indecisive husband into making a decision. We're doing this instead of going on our annual anniversary trip. Furniture will be less expensive!

I've been lurking so I've kinda kept up but it's still nice to "see" you.
