In my pursuit to get my 10,000 steps on, I was doing laps while Corgi was sniffing around the yard. It would seem I took my last 3 - yes 3 - steps after midnight. My fitbit says I took 9,997 steps on Tuesday. But, I have started Wednesday with over 500.

now, to try to sleep. I'm an idiot and can't stop watching Torchwood. So, it's making sleeping in this empty house a challenge. But Capt Jack is such a looker

I vow to get my 10,000 in today. Before midnight!

Congrats on the steps DG. Since I have been working out my steps have increased by mega amounts. I'm so proud. But I'm still not at ten thou yet!

Good morning. It's raining.

Good job on the steps DG!

Bully doc is supposed to apologize to me today. I doubt it will be sincere.

Hurray! Finally another 10,000 stepper on the board! Congrats for every day you accomplish it, DG. I've been lagging a bit lately, because my pedometer battery died. Thinking of switching to a fitbit. I hear they are pretty good.

Even if I get only 9,000 some days, setting the goal of 10,000 works wonders.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm thinking "thank you"  or "I appreciate the apology" depends on the audience. If he still wants to be a douche the tech that was in his room and also happens to be his favorite told me he will back me up if I want to write him up.

Wow

A thousand steps and a douche bag. Glad to two are NOT related. ;)

Good morning!

Slept wonderfully last night. A summer thunderstorm makes for great sleeping.

Now to get DD off for the day and get ready for DGS to come over and do more work on refinishing a very old table. He's doing a wonderful job so far. Sanding is a lot of work!

Hope you all have a good one today.

Glad he apologized. Congrats on the steps.

I understand about the benefits of these "fitbits", I just couldn't live my life confined to such a device. I guess it's the OCD in me, that would just give me one more thing to obsess over, which I don't need.

It's drizzly here again. And temps dropped into the 50's & 60's, which suits me just fine.

Oh, you all may be starting to inspire me. Or at least get me moving a little more. I want to get up to the 10,000 steps. I need to get in shape and be healthier. I walked on the treadmill this morning. I need to get back into that routine. Except I cannot find a pedometer or anything that will track my steps on there. I know it will take me a while to get to 10k but it's a start. I can work out at least three mornings a week. Work days are almost impossible.

Today is supposed to be overcast and chances of showers again. High of about 67. Good think I really don't have any outdoor plans today. More homework, more laundry (it never ends). I never started on the freezer organization the other day so maybe that will be this afternoon.

Chiro and a funeral tonight for a fellow lodge member. Braciole in the slow cooker for dinner.

Please don't take this the wrong way but what the heck are you all doing all day long that I am doing that much more than you? Sitting around and just doing nothing? My god, I would go insane.

I am really not doing that much. I do sit on my tush most of the day. I'd rather do 1-3 loads of laundry during the week when I am home than do all that laundry on the weekends. I probably spend about 20-30 minutes a day when I am home doing actual housework. And I do try to do one extra thing that needs to get done about once a week.

Homework/schoolwork. I do it at home online instead of spending 4 hours in a classroom plus doing all the homework. I probably spend about 2-4 hours per day on it, some days more, some days less. Much less than a work day.

Suits me too. I opened the windows when I got home last night. It was a bit chilly in the house this morning but I sleep so well when it is chilly. I hated that it got hot so early this year.

Morning everyone.

I am up early. My back hurts and my toe is a very pretty purple color. But I guess the pain means I'm still alive. I will not have time to workout today. We have so much to do. Dentist, vet, bank, and DH wants to run grocery shopping. Our local grocer does points that you can cash in for gas. They are giving away tons of extra points this week on stuff. We will manage to get gas cheap.

I have not slept well the last three nights. I am having all kinds of night mares. I don't know why. I wake up in fits. It's horrible.

Hmmm, maybe I do more than I think. I am helping DGS refinish an old table. Spent most of yesterday out in the garage helping him sand. Yes, we are hand sanding. More work then I expected to do, but what the heck.

Two loads of laundry done already. Kitchen swept and dishes are done. Sitting on my arse now. Waiting for DGS to get here so we can go back to sanding. biggrin

jlbear, you just seem to have it all together and that is what we are commenting on. smile

Together?  Sort of.  Make lists? Absolutely, keep me accountable and motivated.   I'm naturally lazy.  Get it all done?  Rarely.  You've already done today most of what I plan to do.  Yes, I know that you all don't just sit around.

And I know how much work it is to sand and refinish furniture.  I have refinished several things here in the house, including 2 dressers.  I do use a palm sander for the long flat surfaces but getting the details and curves are a lot of work.

Just found out DD was invited to go with a team overseas to play in a big tournament in Sweden. She is SO excited she is beside herself. We knew it was a possibility for awhile, but just got final word she was chosen. I wish I could go with her but we don't have the extra $ for both of us to go without dipping into savings more than makes me comfortable.

Thunderstorms here this morning. Everything is soaking wet.

Waiting for the school to decide if they want to approve us moving into the house I found. They suggested 2 other properties to us. One was smaller than where we live now, and the other didn't accept pets. I think they are starting to realize how difficult it is to find housing here! Finally!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Congrats to your DD, MM. That is quite an honor. If I were you I'd rethink the going with her. It is a really big opportunity. Tighten your belt a little here & there until you replenish your savings.

Congrats to MM's DD! I would go, too. There are some opportunities that should not be passed up. You'll regret it.

Personally, I took wonderful trips, even when I could not afford it.  Not once did I look back and say, "wow, I really wish I hadn't spent my money on that vacation."

Glad you get to go to Canada O4. What part?

I haven't ironed anything in years. Hate ironing. Use to iron everything.

Our dinning room table is a catch-all too. I try to clear it daily.

That sounds awesome MM.

Is this a once in a lifetime thing? I understand not wanting to use the savings, but would it be worth it?

Same!!  The only regret I have is turning down a free trip to British Columbia.  I looked at the weather & it was cool & raining when it was beautiful Spring weather here.  I didn't understand PNW weather at the time.  I also had no idea how beautiful BC is.
