I fell asleep on the couch last night, no big deal, happens all the time. What wakes me up......at 3 am.........birds. In the fireplace! There are birds that live in the chimney in the summer. Well, somehow they have fallen or something because they are now in the fireplace. I have a mesh grate across the opening, so at least for now, they aren't actually loose in the house. But they are flying around in there and squawking
Why do I have a mesh grate across the opening you might ask. Because a couple weeks ago, I swear I heard some thing breathing in the fireplace.
creature in the ceiling......birds in the fireplace......I have locked corgi and I in the bedroom. We are officially under attack.

I think you need to call Ed's Harry.

We like to think that our homes are OURS, and critters should stay somewhere else. Like in a tree or something.
I got used to Fred last year. And the bird wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't so damn loud. That and the dog has gone all ninja corgi trying to get it. That's going to end badly.
Oh, those birds would be toast if it were me. Light a fire, then in a week or so, call the chimney sweep company out to clean and replace the screen at the top of the chimney to prevent any critters from coming in.
Met with deck guy last night. We both came up with a nice design I'm excited to live with.
Off to work today. The dog barfed on the bathroom rug while I was showering. He knows that means I am going to work and he got so nervous he barfed. At least it was on the rug I could toss into the washing machine.

^%$^&%&^%& Trying to finish a scene so I can render, but it is so full of stuff, and it's just little moves and adjustments I need to make right now, so it's click ont something...
wait
wait some more
selected. Move it... almost there
AUTOSAVE! (this takes about 2 mintues)
Appointment in town, run to the dump, pick up meds, grab a few things to plug the holes I need grocery wise and then home for dinner.
Seems a couple cousins are coming in from Kansas tomorrow. Yay.
I've never met them. Mom has 3 times. Should be interesting.

Chili, you made me laugh! My computer has been slow this morning for some reason, so I no longer feel so alone. :)
Second layer of stain on deck!!
Not even noon and I'm bushed. SMH
DG, sorry about all the critters.
My pc's pretty quick, it's just when my scenes get busy, they tend to get pretty bogged down. I've done what I could, so the animation is rendering now. Will leave it to run the next couple of days. Doing 4000 frames and it will take about 48hrs.
I'm still tired from yesterday. DS must be too - he's still sleeping.
We took DS to his first splash pad yesterday. He ran around for a good 3 hours. His left water shoe didn't want to stay on so he ended up being barefoot. He learned very quickly not to run on a wet, slick surface (the splash pad itself is textured and non-slip but the area around it where the chairs are is very slippery when wet). He fell and smacked his head on the slippery area (he's fine) a few times before learning to stop at the edge of the splash pad and walk around the puddles once on the cement.
It's looking like rain here today. Hopefully it will. I love the rain. I can't wait till we're in monsoon. The humidity sucks but the evening storms are beautiful.
I missed DH this morning when I had to get up and give all the dogs their meds.

Just found out a little bit ago that Caitlyn's boyfriend's grandmother passed away. She is our pastor's mom.
So on top of out of town guests, that are staying at a local hotel thankfully, we have a funeral to go to.

Work Day! But I got to go shopping for Bossman and take a little longer of a lunch today.
Don't know if anyone noticed in yesterday's daily but MIL was released from rehab on Sunday. And she is milking our help. Now she wants me to stop again on the way home because someone from from the rehab is visiting the house today. And we found out she lied to them in order to get out by telling them that we live there too. She has been very manipulative with this recovery. Not sure what is happening with her brain (I do, it's after-effects of anesthesia) but I told her no more lies, I will not cover.
I still have homework I need to do that did not get done because I was making sure she was safe to be home alone. Ooh, Bossman stepped out for an hour, maybe I can get some homework done.
Dh and I got up and took the kids to Custer (an hour away) for lunch. The same place we tried to go for my birthday. They have delicious burgers. Glad we finally got in. Its a little hole in the wall restaurant that Trip Advisor made famous. Dd wanted to stop in the rock shop, she loves rocks. Now we are home. Dh took his car in to get checked out so it's safe for me to drive to Sioux Falls tomorrow for the End Sheeran concert! I'm excited!
Eta: fixed a bunch of mistakes. I hate typing on my phone..

WOW!!!
flan
Supossed to say Ed.. I really need to get off the phone.
We're having a lazy day. Kids stayed late in their jammies. So did I. I've worked out now and after I shower we're hitting the library and Redbox. My kids love to go to the library. They're addicts.
Our library gave out the most adorable t-shirts to the kids for the summer reading program. They're red and they're like super hero design but they have the library name inside it.

The bird was gone when I got home from work. Let's home he stays gone!
Climb up on the roof and put mesh over the chimney.

I have SS all week. He's so good when his dad isn't here.

You'd better get that cleared up before you fly anywhere. I tried that once. I thought my sinuses were going to explode.
