You ever put too much fabric softener in something and not really realize it right away? I smell April fresh like you wouldn't believe.
Well, it's Friday again. Let's make it a good one.

I took today off and am taking DD to visit my mother, my sister traveled up and is at my mom's. It will be a short visit because DD has her last regular season softball game tonight.

Good morning! It's Friday. YAY! Tomorrow is Baby J's dance retical - I'll be so glad to be done with dance. She doesn't want to do it again, we're going to try gymnastics next year instead.

I use a LOT of white vinegar! I buy it by the gallons. I even make household cleaners and weed killer with vinegar. Cheap and does a much better job IMHO. It is also better for the environment.
Yup, I'm a pro at vinegar usage. :)
Oh, and good morning all.

Nope. It leaves everything feeling cleaner. I'll use it in my hair once in awhile, too, to condition my scalp and preserve the color. Use it under my arms and follow-up with a combo of baking soda and cornstarch (baby powder for a nice scent) instead of deodorant. Kills the bacteria that makes you smell without all those chemicals that irritate my skin. I use it for a lot of things.
DD is allergic to all detergent except one - All free & clear. We don't use fabric softeners either.
The assistant coaches wash the uniforms and pass them out every game day. On one away trip they ran out of detergent and forgot which one DD could use. They guessed (DD was asleep) and bought more. They guessed wrong and DD was itching and scratching the entire game. She thought she had something wrong with her. She finally figured it out and talked to the assistants. They had a good laugh over it.

It doesn't irritate the boys skin, but artificial scents are not good for people with asthma. I really don't know if it's trigger, but I just leave it out anyway. Towels are much more absorbent if you don't use fabric softener.

Truth.

Spouse also.
We use about 1/10th of the amount the soap company suggests, then run every load through another full wash / rinse cycle to try to get it all to rinse out.
Then if the rinse water is still coming out even a little sudsy, that load gets another full cycle.

DD11, too. Even Tide free and clear will give her boils.

I don't use it in everything. But I had asked Aaron to start a load. He used way too much. I barely use a 1/4cap when I do use it. I think he used a whole cap.
I have never heard of vinegar. How much do you use? Does it help clean the washer too?
Beach..... I love the beach.

I one time put bleach in the fabric softener slot.
Thankfully I was washing whites and wanted bleach and caught what I had done immediately.

Did not know that about vinegar. We wash the dog stuff in Dreft and use Dreft baby softener. The lady at the store laughed at DH the other day when we were having a discussion about the smell of the Dreft softener. So we asked her to settle it for us.

I always used ivory in the baby stuff. Dreft irritated them.
Caitlyn still uses ivory soap.
*sigh* Mawmaw is going back to the ER. Twice in a week.
Poor thing. I can't think about what it all could mean.

I'm not actually sure the Dreft is helping Layla's allergies. Don't know for sure but she's getting better so we keep using it. Of course, she's on tons of medicine and prescription food too. Her hair is almost all grown back.
Since I have allergies and they sleep on our bed they leave a lot of hair behind. I make the bed every day and cover it with a plain cheap flat sheet. I have five of them. Every day I strip the flat sheet off and make the bed. Then I put a fresh new flat sheet on. Keeps the hair down and the allergies down. At the end of five days I wash all the flat sheets together in Dreft.
We got the Dreft softener and you can smell it through the lid. I was saying how it smelled like baby powder. DH said it smelled like ass. We were going round and round with this when we got up to the counter. We asked the cashier to smell it. She said it smelled like baby diaper. I said, "See? We're both right. It smells like powder you put on a babies ass!"
