The senator is from my town. I am surprised that the kid didn't kill himself when he was done. Hope they put him in population in prison. Scrawny white boy won't stand a chance.

They found an opiate strip on him, or I should say a few of them. The newest drug to ween addicts off of heroin. But the strip drugs are addictive themselves and side affects can cause going nuts. This is awful. We need to stop prescribing opiates so widely and get better mental health care.

The picture on TV that I saw over here showed him with a kind of vacant stare... Reminded me of a radical (of any kind) with the vacancy and still a slight sign of smugness...

It just seems, more often than not, the killer is described as a typical "boy next door," and everyone is shocked by his behavior.

A man suspected of killing 9 people at a historically Black Charleston church told police that he "almost didn't go through with it because everyone was so nice to him."

Roof was an avowed racist, according to one of his friends, Joey Meek.

Meek told Associated Press that he had reconnected with Roof a few weeks ago, getting drunk with him as Roof complained that "Blacks were taking over the world" and that "someone needed to do something about it for the White race."

He wanted to incite a race riot, and what happened was the complete opposite. Although a horrible situation, the images of people helping each other and coming together are heartwarming. And the family members publicly telling him they forgive him is tear jerking.

Now, this young man is seriously messed up in the head. My sympathies are with those families for the pain they are enduring over this terrible loss. I hurt for them that they will have to continue to constantly see it every time they turn on the news for so much time to come. I hope Sharpton and his cronies do stay away. Let these people grieve in peace.

Have you heard about the judge who arraigned the shooter? Apparently he went on and on about how the shooter's family were victims too and he didn't want anyone to forget about them, etc.

That is offensive. The arraignment of a mass shooter is not the time and place to talk about the shooter's family being victims. The dead are not even buried yet and the judge wants to turn attention away from them and towards the shooter's family.

Well I don't know if that is where he learned it but I know that taking about his family - when 9 families are dealing with loss because of his actions - is really insensitive.

Well, here are a few facts to shed some light on his family - His sister is the one that turned him in to the police - she recognized him in the surveillance photo and called the police. His grandfather was a highly respected and very well liked attorney. His uncle said he'd like to execute him himself. One of his mother's closest friends - a black woman - said that his mother did not raise him like that.

The reason the judge said what he said is because of EXACTLY the type of thing flan said - blaming his family without knowing anything.
