Well go back to sleep, woman!

Our camp trip got rained/flooded out after all. We ended up getting in some range time and fishing. My brother's family arrived this weekend too, so we got to shoot and fish with them some too.

Not at all happy about Monday being here already. I want my weekend back.

I'm cold, and like DD, want my weekend back.

Went to the Cheetah Outreach Center down the road from us. Was pretty cool. You can pet them, but Little Man wasn't too interested, so we just wandered around a while. They are gorgeous animals.

Little Man decided to be up and awake at 4am yesterday morning, so, that meant so was I. BUT, I did spend the whole day on the chair, in the den, in my pjs, under the blanket in front of the tv. Pure bliss for a winters day... Most of the morning I was in and out of sleep, only got up to feed LM, then back to my spot again. *Sigh*

And then... this, Monday... So today, I've been giving it my some... There is just no way I can give it my all what so ever.

It a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Sunny, highs around 90, humidity is not too bad.

I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Only a few assignments left to complete. Then I have a week off before classes start up again. As much as I complain and am crazy busy, I love it.

If I hustle, Wednesday can be a beach day! If not, then Monday. I would go Friday except that is when the exodus for the shore happens.

In addition to schoolwork, today's list includes changing the sheets, doing two loads of laundry, trimming down a beef tenderloin that was on sale, and maybe cleaning the floors with the steam mop.

I'm to the point that I prefer Winter. My aunt gave me Girl on the Train last week. I was in the middle of a different book that I finished up yesterday so I will start the new book next weekend. I've heard only good things so I'm looking forward to it.

We had a busy weekend.

I never even got on line yesterday, we were so busy!

Huey scared the heck out of us.

Wayne noticed him trying to pee, and nothing was coming out. We were afraid he was blocked again.

So, we went to our Animal hospital when they opened at one, and they squeezed him in.

Turns out, he wasn't blocked. Thank goodness!

He has a UTI, so the Vet gave him a couple of shots, and some antibiotics for us to give him at home.

Huey is down to 16.63 pounds. The Vet was very happy about that. Although he'd still like to see Huey in the 14 pound range. biggrin

Anyway, I'm only $172 poorer. But, on the bright side, we caught the bladder infection early on. So, that was good.

I had planned to cook on the grill for Father's Day, but we got rained out. cry

So, I cooked inside instead. It still tasted good.

Not as good as on the grill, but everyone enjoyed it.

I'm going to take it a bit easier today.

My back isn't happy with me. Too much yard work has made it angry. wink

Going to meet DH for lunch today and then we are going for a walk. It's so nice outside and we are trying to make the most of summer and also take time out to do little things together.

I am doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, and cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and fridge. Fun times!

Poor Huey. I'm glad you caught it early. I get nervous when I think Desmond is licking himself too much down there. It is often the first sign that there is an infection. So far (knock wood) since we have been on the Rx food he hasn't had any more stones or infection.

Thanks Lexxy. Huey has been our expensive cat, that's for sure! wink

The doctor told us that even on the Rx food, some cats will still have trouble from time to time.

We are going to start limiting how much of the dry kibble he eats.

I'll put the kibble out, when Huey is in the backyard, so the other cats can have some. And put the bowl away, when he comes in.

The Vet thinks that will help with his weight, and his bladder issues.

It's worth a try! smile

So, DD, her husband, his parents, and the babies are all on their way to New Mexico. DD's MIL's brother was found dead of alcohol poisoning in his front yard yesterday morning. It's very heartbreaking. He was one of the 4 kids that just never made it off the reservation. He succumbed to the lifestyle that is so prevalent there. It's heartbreaking the way that some of these people live. But he HAD a chance. He lived here for a little while and we became really good friends with him. He coached my son in football and was always the life of the party. He was one of the ones that knew about life off the reservation (many of them don't).
MIL is have a REALLY hard time, because when he relapsed here, she made him leave. The only place for him to go was the reservation.

In good news the landlord called me at 8:02 am. I must have been the first person she called. She is sending someone out. I'm surprised they haven't made it out yet. But they will. They always come out if they say they will. DS has a doctors appointment later. I'll be out of the heat for awhile. I have no desire to work out today. Two nights without decent sleep is taking it's toll.

We have two A/C units, one for the upstairs, and one for the downstairs.

They have never both broken at the same time.

So, I would have one floor cool, if one of them conked out. smile

Lexxy, it wasn't too bad here last night. Uncomfortable but not unbearable. I have a window unit in the garage. If it is too hot then we put that in the master bedroom and make pallets for the kids on the floor. It's crowded with the dogs and kids but it's nice and cool!
