Slept in, you call 6:00 am sleeping in! Landscaper is supposed to show up today to start on the retaining wall.

Last day of school today!

Just hanging out and getting organization done. Weather is supposed to be wild later today. Tomorrow is supposed to be really nice. I am planning on taking DD on some sort of boating excursion.

You should always in a drink during ladies night out.  Tends to keep the population of kids down.

It's not likely, since I will only be coming in for a few hours on Thursday, and I need to get stuff lined out for my move to my new position, but a girl can dream right?

Heat advisories here today. Deck crew is here forming it. Progress!

#2's ear is better, but still a little puffy. He has his allergy shots today, so I'll show the nurse.

Instead of using Pam, and ruining the finish on you non-stick pans, get a couple of these!

I have one for olive oil. I want to get one for vegetable oil, and one for balsamic vinegar.smile

I've started changing over to ceramic pans. I have the griddle and one fry pan so far. No non stick oil spraying needed.

I use the misto, too. But I also use non-stick olive oil spray. The misto has a tendency to shot out a stream rather than a mist. If anyone has the secret to making it mist, I'd love to hear it!

Before I had my misto, sometimes I would put a bit on the pan and use a papertowel to spread it around and soak up any extra.

The non-stick sprays are fine to use on corning ware, or Pyrex. It's only bad for non-stick coatings on pans.

Mine shoots a mist for me. Maybe you're pumping it a little to much?confuse

Just an idea.smile

Hello, everybody! Heat advisory here today too with storms coming thru later today. There is also a warning for hail and a possible tornado (rare here).

I am working today. Well, let me rephrase that. I am at work but there is very, very little work to do. I have spent maybe 20-25 minutes doing actual work. And I've been here for just over 4 hours. I am bored. I surfed the internet all I could. Heck, I am maybe planning a trip for next week to go to Florida to visit my mother. I am that bored.

I only have a little bit of school work to do, which I left at home and a final exam to take. Ooh, she changed the exam to an assignment. I may not be so bored after all. Off to go read what it is about.

While the ceramic pans seem nice, I will stick with my cast iron. They are so well seasoned that nothing sticks to it anyway.

I will probably be doing some serious shopping tomorrow. I need to buy DH some more khaki shorts. He's down to one pair and complaining. We were going to give them to him for fathers day. And the kitchen store is a must. Still trying to find a cake plate. And I want another cast iron skillet. And my favorite store where we might a cute baby outfit.

I go through non-stick skillets every 2-3 years. Maybe next time I'll check out the ceramics. Or just stop using cooking spray.

I love my cast iron. I use them but not as often as I did.

I have some ceramic skillets. They cook just as well. Even brown as well.

But they are not as heavy as my cast iron and easier for me to maneuver.

Yes. I bought a griddle for $40, same price as the pampered chef and caphalon ones I bought in past years. Much happier with it.
