I've seen whales migrating. They are pretty cool.

Patio/deck formed. Not sure what's next, reinforcement, or inspection. I had a dream my pool was finished. <sigh> The boys turn 7 this weekend.

Today is a wonderful day! Sunny, high of 84 and very low humidity. Last night the storms were very bad. But the sky was pretty. There are many trees and power lines down. We still have power, never lost it.

Today is finishing schoolwork. One teacher changed a final exam to reading a chapter, researching and posting to discussion board in less than 48 hours. I'd rather have the exam.

I am getting my beach time next week! I'm headed to Florida to visit with Mom from Monday - Thursday. Any geeks between Orlando and Melbourne that want to meet up?

LOL There's kind of a story behind this... FWM and I were shopping right after DH went back to work after he got laid off. I tried on these Sketchers gowalkers. They were SO comfortable. But I didn't buy any because they were sixty bucks and our budget was tight. Then DN bought me a pair for Mothers Day. They are SO nice. They help my knees immensely. I started being able to walk around Sam's and places like that without complaining or having to sit down. He saw the difference it made and is more than happy that I get a couple more pairs. DN just laughs. She can't believe I like them that much.

I also bought a cast iron cornbread pan last time I was there. I made cornbread in it and it came out so light and fluffy. DH loved it so much that he said I can get more.

So yep! As long as it benefits him in some way then yes, he says it's okay.

Jlbear, I hope your trip next week to Florida is fun! I think JPT lives in Florida, maybe send her a message.

It's about to storm here this morning. We've had several bad ones in the area lately. On Sunday night a building under construction (4 blocks from us) went down into a twisted heap after strong winds hit at 4 a.m.. We slept thru the ruckus and we still don't have all the tree branches hauled off.

I need to get some CEU's completed today... darmit.

There are no fun CEU's out there. It's a dreaded must do. I did find a site with a small yearly fee though. You pay the fee and do your CEU's and can continue doing them all year long. Your membership is one year from the date you signed up. Since I do my license in January, I signed up in, I think, November. I started doing CEU's so that by the time January rolled around I'd have them all. I keep my license current all the time even though I am not currently working. It's easier than letting it lapse if I want/need to go back to work. The last time I renewed my license I waited till February came and started working on my CEU's for the next time I would have to renew. Because everything in February counted toward the next renewal. I believe in 2016. I already have those CEU's. So basically I don't have to worry about doing them again until January of 2018. I was prepared this time. And I only had to pay one fee. Four years of licensing for one years worth of fee. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing it that way again when I have to get my CEU's done.

The CEU's I'm doing today are part of my employers requirements. They pay for the CEU's and they count toward my license renewal. I am automatically enrolled into the data base. I just sign in, take the course and I'm done.
The trouble is, it ends on the 27th for this course. Yeah, I procrastinated..

The site I went to charges thirty dollars for a year subscription. Like I said I did all mine for 2014 before December and then when my license was renewed in January I waited till February to start the new ones. So I am all caught up for 2016. I do not have to do more until 2018. So it wasn't too bad. And it's tax deductible.

I have a cat that hacks at least a hair ball a day. I have given up on my bedroom carpet. She is 13 so I will replace it after she is gone.

I know all the moving companies in town - this one is the best. They don't steal, they don't break your stuff. Last time we moved, they quoted high, and it ended up being a lot less b/c we did a lot ourselves - they only bill for the actual time it takes (we were quoted 1100 and it was only 680). This quote is so high b/c we haven't packed much, yet and he was going off of what work there is right now. We'll have 4 days to move stuff before the movers come, so we should be able to cut the quote down considerably. The main thing is to get the move down from 2 days to one.
