Lots to do today since I will be away next week. DH will be lonely but clean and well fed.
Laundry, floors, sheets.

If I get it all done, I am going down to see the largest rubber ducky! The tall ships have sailed into town for the next few days but I won't deal with that on the weekends.

Floors are done, bed is stripped and steamed (ran the steam mop over it), 1 of 3 loads of laundry is done.

Still need to make the bed, give the bathroom a once-over and put everything back from mopping. Also need to break down the beef tenderloins I got on sale into filet mignon.With any luck, I will have lunch with a duck.

I am determined to go see the ducky today!

What's up with the rubber duck?
Floating among the tall ships will be the world's largest yellow ducky. Standing 61-feet tall and weighing 11 tons, the big yellow duck will be on hand to "inspire us to enjoy the world's waterfronts and conserve our natural resources for future ducklings," according to executive producer of Tall Ships Philadelphia Camden Craig Samborski.

Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with the duck for an opportunity to take a duck selfie.

Tons going on around here yesterday and through this weekend. I probably won't be around much. DD has practice and some games with the team going to Sweden. I am trying to clean the house top to bottom so move out is easier. My BIL/SIL and niece and nephew are coming to visit!! Getting the spare room ready for them. Trying to pack some non essentials. The dining hall is closed for a week for a private camp so I need to grocery shop and cook (?) for a week. I have to run up to the cities to get DD's iPad fixed...I am tired already and I haven't even mentioned all of it...

No. Can't do my own closing - but my office did it. My boss closed it. It was very quick, though, since no explanation of the documents was needed.

There is a brand of rolls sort of like Kaiser but softer called bulkies. I buy them often. Maybe they are made in MA.

I am so down with beanless chili. I do not favor beans. There used to be a place somewhere in PA I believe that would ship beanless chili. Whitehall? I can't remember the name.

Mass/ New England has a large population of both Italian and Portuguese. The rolls we can buy are so awesome.

Work was fine. Most people don't work Friday's in the gov't, its ridiculous. I purged my personal files, I had already removed my personal items from my desk, didn't have much since I move offices/projects every few years. The only item I needed to grab was my Kuerig.

There were several people who gave me accolades and given that they come from military peeps whom I respect, it meant a lot. My company said that the day IKWTDS leaves is the day the company needs to seriously look at their business model.

Any meeting the company peeps for dinner one night next week. I'm fine. Only teared up 3 times.
