DH is coming home!  He's only been gone three weeks. He's not happy.  They wouldn't ever tell him when the project was supposed to start and finish and when the next started and finished.  They waited forever to get flown to Norway and then got word they weren't going.  So he's coming home.

Well, this is a new company. He's glad he finally got a job and is back to work but this new company is very disorganized according to him. Also, his last company was very very proactive with education and trying to do things the right way. He says this company is more reactive and waits until there's a problem and then deals with it. He is very much a proactive person off the job too.

Hey, mama rock me
Rock me mama like the wind and the rain
Rock me mama like a south-bound train
Hey, mama rock me

Now that is stuck in my head!

Yep Dona. Me too!
Another crazy day at work. They fired two of our agency people yesterday. I think they lasted 2 weeks. I'm sure the rumors will be flying.

BABY!!

I just had a panicky thought. I called about my pain doctor appointment the other day. They told one pm. But yesterday they called and said 11. I asked them again if it was 11. They said yes. I don't usually make morning appointments. I hope they didn't screw this up because I have to be at the airport at 1:30.

Any baby stats?  I love those, I don't know why...  BF's new granddaughter was born last Friday.  We saw her Saturday and she's (of course) adorable.  I keep thinking that I might eventually have grands without having gone through childbirth, LOL!

So traffic is at a standstill because Obama is coming to visit today...
But our governor refused to meet with him. So, there's that to be happy about. I'm glad he has the balls to stand up to him.
Plus, there is a Confederate "posse" lining the streets. Hundreds of people waving both the American and Confederate flags.
I love my state.

Hey ya'll.

O4, there was a peaceful protest here Sunday. A parade, with permission, all legal. About 200 vehicles, all with confederate, American and I think it was a Sons/Daughters of the Confederacy and POW/MIA flags, flying. They circled, criss crossed and covered almost every road. Complete with police blocking traffic and clearing roads.

Well, we have been short staffed for some time now and we got some agency people to offer everyone some relief, especially with call. These two came together and said in the phone interview how they were coming to work, not play and they would take any shifts and take lots of call. So the call schedule was made up before they arrived for the assignment and they threw a fit day one because they are scheduled 2 weekends this month. They said they had plans and had invited friends down already and wanted to explore the area and go to Savannah a lot. Management tried telling them the schedule was already made and people who are burned out were getting much needed relief from so much call and they just didn't care. They continued to bitch and moan and say they weren't taking all that call. So now they won't have to. Buh bye!

It's only a 13 week assignment.  They probably wanted a fun summer on the coast. The hospital would be paying all their food and housing while they partied.

Thank you. I already had to take the big gun pain med. The two oldest grand's are keeping me company, cleaning, doing the laundry and waiting on me hand and foot. Gosh, I love those kids. They keep me furnished with hot packs as well.

FNW, thank you for being so kind. smile

Thank you all for the good wishes.

Czech, sorry about the tooth pain! Pain sucks.

SB, tell those idiots to be quiet.

Went to the pain doc today. They said I was doing good. I didn't have to do a pee test today. They even gave me a three month supply of pain meds so I guess they're trusting me now. They only gave me a one month supply of my PRN pain med but I really haven't been using it all that month. She said she'd refill it if I need it but I got sixty tablets for ninety days and still have about thirty left. So I figure I'm good there. She wanted to up my pain meds but I declined. I told her I was doing okay on what I was on and that when I did have more pain I just supplemented with the other one and all was good. Then she asked me if I wanted/needed knee braces. Apparently my insurance covers them and they just started carrying them. So I'm getting some. Don't know if I'll wear them all the time but it definitely can't hurt to have them around for bad days.

I finished up my shopping for my friend. I went a little bit nuts for her baby shower. I bought her ten outfits all ranging from newborn to 2T. I found a baby fork and spoon set for a buck and a little purse size baby photo album for fifty cents. I got a really cute soft blanket and some of those numbers you put on their onsie to take a picture every month. Then I got a bag of diapers, wipes, lotion, shampoo, powder, and balmex. A lot of it I got on clearance. If I see anything really cute before her shower I'll pick it up. Otherwise I'm done.

Got DH from the airport. He's sleeping. Don't know when he'll wake up since he's been working nights.

Just arrived home from a wonderful dinner out with my old company, nice send off. Some great stories while we all reminisced. They want me back as soon as business turns around. I told them no but that I would take their resumes and get them jobs at the new company. I was reminded that I was always working the angles. As I came over the bridge from the highway toward my house there was the most beautiful and biggest rainbow I had ever seen. I feel as though my life has turned a good corner, or perhaps it was the wine...

Had a follow-up with my doctor today for my ankle and knee. Have to wear the splint for another 4 days then the boot until it's healed and got prescribed antibiotics for my knee. Also found out that the xrays from the ER showed arthritis in my left knee so now I have arthritis in both knees. Thank you Lord for this newest blessing. I know You have a purpose for it.

I'll probably be there someday. Right knee has been arthritic for a few years now. Last xray showed bone spurs on top of the arthritis and not as much cartilage as I need to have. It's my musical knee :P You can hear the bones grinding against each other when I move it.

I hope the knee braces work for you smile

Is this the arthritic club?

I'm trying a new regemen myself. Aleve with my daily meds and tylenol during the day. Going on day 5. The pain is getting better in my back and ribs.

But my elbow won't get better and my balance is getting worse. The inflammation in my knees is going down but that's making it easier for the tendons and ligaments the move around. It's like they are popping out of place.

And on top of that, my stomach is starting to burn.
