He is a SEVEN time convicted felon. He was in custody of the San Francisco Sheriff's department--and ICE wanted him back. Due to their policy of not cooperating with ICE, he was let go.

And the result was this.

Plus, San Francisco has some of the most stringent gun control laws in the nation--and yet a SEVEN TIME convicted felon was walking around with a gun. They can't even adequately enforce laws they purport to be so much in favor of.

Yes. ICE was going to deport him, but he had outstanding arrest warrants in San Francisco, so they turned him over to the sheriff's office there. They promptly dismissed the charges, dropped the warrants, and let him go.

Because Politicians, Repos and Dems both refuse to address Border Security. They WANT illegals flooding over here because they view them as a new voting bloc that they can hand entitlements to and gain votes. That is the absolute crux of the issue, period. That (the story in the OP) was sad, and ever so preventable.

Instead re-deporting repeat offenders, maybe we need to incarcerate them for life if they return after being deported once. Just a thought.

I don't know what the solution is. I only know that what we are doing currently isn't working.

Razor wire mine field, alligator infested moat, 100 foot tall wall, crocodile infested moat, razor wire mine field the length of the borders. If they make it through all that, they get a year to prove they should stay.

Honestly, at this point, I think the only thing to do is close the borders, give those here 2 years to become legal.

Anyone that wants to come here, can't be pregnant, or father a child for two years. Until they become legal.

Irrelevant. We can't kick out/keep out American citizens. Nobody else wants our bad ones. The point is that this guy should never have been here in the first place, and even at that, he was in custody until just before he did this.

How is it the GOP's fault in Ca.? The Gov. Moonbeam Jerry Brown is Dem. I'm sure all the elected officials in San Fransisco are Dems. Most of the elected officials in Ca. are dems. No one is against law abiding legal immigrants who come legally and work hard. My nephews wife came from mexico and is now a citizen of the united states. Why should a illegal immigrant have the same rights as her when she filed the proper paper work? I think we should also press charges against companies who hire illegal immigrants maybe that would take away the incentive to hire them because they would work for nothing.

Not to long ago a family (illegal) was attacked and their baby taken and I believed killed. The authorities believed it may have been the cartel. This happened in the mid-west. Not all crossing the border are ones who want to make a honest living.

many Americans don't want to work. We have two good paying jobs ($15 or more plus overtime and bonuses) with benefits and we cant even get any applicants.

This is very true. My county is BOOMING. It's crazy. The construction is everywhere. The pay is comparable you what you said, Husker. With overtime and early completion bonuses, its amazing. Americans do not want to get hot and sweaty. They cannot find workers. It's unbelievable.

Because every kid in every school is told he/she is going to college - even the ones that have no business going. We have de-funded and de-valued vocational training and told our kids they are too good for those jobs. Every kid is a genius who won't ever have to do a second of manual labor.

Meh. Take care of OUR interests first. The rest will fall in place. He obviously can close a deal and knows how to do deals. I am sure he has done deals all over the world and has far more experience in that than any other candidates who do nothing but blow smoke out their pie holes.
