She was sensationally sacked from the Food Network after admitting to using the N-word, enjoying racist jokes and wanting to plan a 'plantation-style wedding' with black waiters dressed like slaves.
But it seems that celebrity chef Paula Deen has not learned her lesson from her 2013 dismissal - after she posted a photo of her adult son in brownface on her Twitter page on Tuesday morning.
In the image, a beaming Paula and her 45-year-old son, Bobby, are seen posing behind a kitchen counter dressed as Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, the stars of the popular CBS sitcom, I Love Lucy.
Alongside the controversial photo, 68-year-old Paula wrote: 'Lucyyyyyyy! You got a lot of esplainin’ to do! #TransformationTuesday.' She has since deleted the tweet and image from her page.

Controversial: Celebrity chef Paula Deen has seemingly not learned her lesson from her 2013 dismissal from the Food Network- after she posted this photo (above) of her son in brownface to her Twitter page on Tuesday
'TransformationTuesday': Alongside the controversial photo, 68-year-old Paula wrote: 'Lucyyyyyyy! You got a lot of esplainin’ to do! #TransformationTuesday.' She has since deleted the post and image from her Twitter
On Tuesday afternoon, Twitter users were taking to the social network to express their disgust at Paula's post, with one user writing: 'I'd bet Paula Deen's comeback is about to crash and burn.'
Another tweeted, 'Is anyone really surprised that Paula Deen and her son learned NOTHING?', in reference to the image, which Page Six notes appears to be from Paula's 2011 Halloween special.
And one said: 'Paula Deen should try transforming into someone who is culturally sensitive.'
And the criticism only heightened after Paula took to Twitter again - several hours after deleting her l Love Lucy post - to seemingly make the most of the web attention by promoting her new cookbook.
In her latest tweet, the star wrote: 'By now I hope y’all have heard my great news, I have a new cookbook available for preorder!' before including a link to a recent blog post about the book.
It comes just two years after Paula was the center of a previous race row after a former manager at one of her restaurants in Savannah, Georgia, accused the chef of racially harassing her at work.
In the lawsuit, Lisa T Jackson alleged that Paula and her brother, Bubba, committed violence, discrimination and racism, which ended her five-year employment at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House.
Jackson wrote that Paula hired her to plan her brother's wedding, before telling her: 'What I would really like is a bunch of little n******s to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties.

Scandal: It comes just two years after Paula (pictured with her sons Bobby, left, and Jamie) was the center of a previous race row after a former manager at one of her restaurants accused her of racially harassing her
A risky move: On Tuesday afternoon, Twitter users were taking to the social network to express their shock at Paula's post, with one user (above) writing: 'I'd bet Paula Deen's comeback is about to crash and burn'
Not surprised: Another tweeted: 'Is anyone really surprised that Paula Deen and her son learned NOTHING?'
'Now, that would be a true Southern wedding wouldn't it?'
She also alleged that Bubba sexually harassed her over the five-year period, frequently used the N-word, referred to President Obama as a 'n***er' and watched pornography on work computers.
In a court deposition, Paula acknowledged using the N-word at the restaurant, which has since closed. She also apparently confessed to wanting to plan a wedding' with black 'slave' waiters.
However, she denied using the N-word in the context of the wedding. Instead, she reportedly said she loved the idea of having older black men dressed in Civil War-era house-slave garb serve guests.
She got the idea from a restaurant that she and her husband ate at in North Carolina or Tennessee.
'The whole entire wait staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets and a black bow tie. I mean it was really impressive,' the disgraced chef said. 'And I remember saying I would love to have servers like that, but I would be afraid somebody would misinterpret.'
One Twitter user questioned whether Paula wakes up and thinks 'What's the most racist thing I can do today?'
Meanwhile, Marilyn Whitlow said the chef 'should try transforming into someone who is culturally sensitive'

Lawsuit: Lisa T Jackson's alleged that Paula (pictured, right, in January this year, and left, with her sons when they were younger) and her brother, Bubba, committed violence, discrimination and racism, which ended her five-year employment at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House in Savannah, Georgia. The venue has since shut down
Last year Paula Deen recognised 'her words hurt people'
By 'somebody,' Deen meant the media, which was covering the lavish wedding.
'It just wasn't worth it,' she said.
According to documents obtained by Radar Online, the queen of Southern Cuisine also referred to an underage waitress as a 'piece of p****', and admitted she didn't mind racist or sexist jokes.
'It's just what they are, they're jokes,' she reportedly said.
In June 2013, Paula issued a grovelling, tearful video apology for her 'racist' words.
‘I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done,’ she said in the video statement.
‘I want to learn and grow from this.
'Inappropriate and hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable. I've made plenty of mistakes along the way but I beg you, my children, my team, my fans, my partners, I beg for your forgiveness.’
Despite her apology, Paula was sacked from the Food Network, on which she had three regular shows, including Paula’s Best Dishes. She also had numerous endorsement contracts canceled.
'Shameless': On Tuesday afternoon, Paula seemingly used the online attention surrounding her posting of a photo of her son in brownface to promote her new cookbook - garnering further criticism from Twitter users

Scene: In a court deposition, Paula acknowledged using the N-word at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House (above)
Paula - who was a star on the Food Network for more than 13 years before her high-profile sacking - has since attempted to rebuild her empire, including making a documentary about her own downfall.
Earlier this year, she launched her new daily radio show, Get Cooking with Paula Deen.
'I had my first day in the studio yesterday and we had so much fun! I cannot wait to bring my vignettes and podcast to listeners around America,' Paula told PEOPLE at the time of the launch.
'I have a ton of fun tips up my sleeve to make their life a little easier.'
Paula's one-minute-long daily show features tips to help fans both in the kitchen and in life.
She also produces a weekly podcast.
The celebrity chef counted Oprah Winfrey among her close friends at the time of the race scandal.

God grief, Paula is dressed as Lucy Arnez, her son (IMHO) was playing Dessi. He (Dessi) IS (or was) Porto Rican.
Would people be having a fit if this was a theater performance?
IMHO, people are having way to many fits about every freakin' little thing anymore. - just Czech

"Brown face" is appropriate when dressing as a character who has brown skin, as Little Ricky would have had.
I agree with just Czech that too much is being blown way out of proportion. And not just with Ms. Dean.
She's still "STOOPID" though, but that's not proven by this.
Of course a lot of things are blown out of proportion. But, after she went through the massive media fallout before, don't you think she would at least err on the side of caution? I mean, the media will eat you alive and have no qualms about trying to destroy someone's career and life.
Yeah, it's a REAL question. If you don't think it is, then you dont' have to respond.
