Under the mulberry tree - what are your favorite spots in nature?

I'm lying on a blanket in my backyard, under the mulberry tree. On a sultry summer afternoon.

Watching the gymnastic show of the squirrels, and there's a bright red cardinal and a Baltimore oriole.

The low branches make a great canopy, and the birds and squirrels love them.

I could just lie here forever watching this breeze rustling the branches.

What are your favorite spots in nature?

The beach - preferably quiet and deserted

Niagra Falls (it autocorrected to Biafra, which I am sure is lovely, but not a fave of mine! Lol)

Any park, in the shade, right in the middle of things. People can be walking by, but you don't notice and have no idea anyone is around.

It is WAY too frickin' hot to be outside here, today.

But, to answer the question, I like deer season when I get out on all the ground we have and walk it looking for deer.

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.

The beach in Kauai, Hilton Head, West Palm Beach...

Brown County State Park.

The Ohio River, near Madison, IN.

I have so many.

The ocean. Or any body of water. Heck a leaking faucet can zone me out. But the ocean is where I feel the most relaxed.

I love a mountain road too. Specially after a rain and the steam is rising up in the trees.

An open field is calming. When hay is about knee high and swaying in the wind. It moves a lot like water.

The sky at 2 in the morning on a clear night. All the stars are out in full glory and the air is a little cool and the world is quiet.

My own yard, at night when the frogs are croaking and the lightning bugs are playing.

I guess my answer is, all of them.

The beach. Sitting downtown watching the boats on the river.

Blankie, Hoophole Cove on Andrew's Point in Rockport. I lived there. Loved being there at sunset. Very peaceful.

Oh yeah. I'm a south shore girl, but I have to say the north shore is beautiful.
