So far I am not impressed, but they are supposed to be adding deals all day, so we will see.

I did get 500 baby wipes for $4.40... so not a total loss.

No shopping for me. We'll be leaving for the hospital about 5:30.

Laptop is staying home, though.

Not shopping either. Walmart and best buy said they will have some deals too. Might check best buy for a smart tv.

I would shop. But I don't have the extra cash right now. And I don't have the prime thing.

But if I did, I'd do some serious Christmas shopping.

Morning.

Good morning! DD is at basketball camp this week! Coming home on Thursday. SHe is having a great time. She said she was practicing and the Head Coach of the Womens' college team there pulled her aside. She said she immediately freaked out thinking she did something wrong. Anyway, the Coach said 'What grade are you in"? And she said, she was going in to 8th. She is tall so she gets mistaken for a lot older. The coach told her he has been watching her play and that she has a lot of potential and to keep up the good work"! DD was thrilled about that he complimented her. And, then later, they were playing a game and she did her signature "Up and Under" post move and her coach was ecstatic, lol. Ok, that is my "brag" for the day. That warmed my heart since that made her feel good.

I'm with Trudy, mmm prime rib!

Listening to the rain here this morning. Gentle rolls of thunder and the smell of freshly washed air is wonderful.

Had to cancel our traveling for the day. DD has been running a fever, so the orthodontist doesn't want her. wink

I may, emphasize may, not get a thing done today.

LGS, yay for DD!

No online shopping for me. It's just not my style.

Flan, good luck to your DH!

Good morning Lily, TD, SB, NAOW and IKWTDS!

Good morning. I'm exhausted. We are night people and having to get up early for music camp is killing us. I am going to try to talk DH into doing all our errands today so we can relax tomorrow. Doing everything at once is not his style though. So we'll see. We need dog food and have to make a Sam's trip. I need to run to the pharmacy. Still have a costume to make. Didn't buy enough material. Ugh. So much to do.

Good luck flan.

Raining and thundering here. Deep rumbling thunder.

There are no deals on Amazon that have made me want to buy. I know what I am looking for and nothing we want is going on sale.

I am stuck at home until the mechanic calls. My brakes were sounding crunchy/grindey which is not a good sound. I have a feeling that the $300 I came out ahead at the casino the other day will be the mechanics very soon.

It also means that today is a good day to catch up on school work.

Good thoughts for DH's surgery, Flan.

LGS, there may be a college scholarship in the future for DD if she has those moves now.

Good luck on the surgery flan! I hope it goes well!

LGS - good for your DD! Tell her to keep working hard. Even with tons of talent, coaches look for kids who actually know how to work hard. I am sure she has learned that from you anyway tho. Congrats!

I haven't looked at Amazon today yet. Maybe I should check it out?!

I heard from DD. Her team won all their games so far and is in the top flight of the bracket now. It is now "must win" to keep playing. She is having fun.

Off to work today. Trying to decide if I want to hit the road tomorrow with the doc and visit my parents for a few days. It's a long drive but the dog and I could do it no problem. I will see how today goes first.

Good luck to your husband, flan.

I hope his surgery is a big success.

I got home at 11:35am. yesterday, but I was too worn out to get online.

Just my luck, I woke up with a sore throat this morning. Fingers crossed that it doesn't turn into a summer cold.

Wayne has a business dinner tonight, so I'm off the hook for cooking a big dinner. Yay!wink

I'm going to run a few errands, and putter in my garden for the rest of the day.

It's nice to be home.smile

Glad you made it home safely FWM. Hopefully the sore throat doesn't develop into a cold. It might be from having the car A/C blowing.

Were the furry ones excited to see you?

Thanks Lexxy!

I think the sore throat is just my body telling me the I'm worn out, and to ease back into my routine over the next few days.

The cats were pretty chill about our return.

But Jupiter was excited!

I got the circular wag.

And, for the rest of the afternoon, she didn't want to let me out of her sight.biggrin

It was pretty cute.smile

Congrats to your DD MM. That is great!

So far, no deals that I had to have, but my sister has found some baby gear at good prices. I'll keep checking though. They had that Fire Remote and the Amazon Echo that JPT recommended but both sold out really fast.

That's great Gaga. I know how proud you are of her.

Prime day, tax free holidays and other big savings events always seem to happen when I am running low.

I had the 30 day free trial thing. I didn't use it once. So $100 a month is not worth it to me. If I did more online shopping then maybe.

Glad your home FWM. Rest up.

NJN, I'm with you. I'd rather do everything, all the running, in one day. I go so far as to plan then route and stops so I don't have all the back and forth.

Yeah Flan, how's the hudster?

It's $99 per YEAR, not per month, but if you didn't use it during the free trial, you probably won't use it much in a year.

I'm sharing Prime with DS, so it costs each of us $50 per year. Well worth it for me.

 I've heard it's good.

Dad goes to Arby's at least once a week.

Usually pay day. It's right beside his bank.

Great news about Flan's DH.

We use our Prime for movies, music, books and shipping. I don't like going to stores if I don't have to.

Got a decent deal on an Instant Pot on Amazon for $99. I already have one and use it alot. Not sure if I will keep it or gift it to DSS and DIL

It's not that.  I was asked why I was driving DH's car today.  I said that I didn't have gas in my car, so DH took it so he could put gas in it. They think that makes me a diva...cry

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surgery is over & I'm home. Let's see: surgery was 4 1/2 hours, & it took another 90 minutes for him to get to his room. The rest of the day, he'll be drifting in & out, so I decided to come home.

I'm NOT a patient person & the book I brought with me wasn't holding my interest.

The surgeon said that the deterioration was pretty severe. Imho, DH should have had the surgery 6 months ago.

But it's over & he should be home Friday.

And a BIG "Thank you!" to ohfour for holding my hand.

My Mom's husband has traded cars with her for over 27 years when her car gets low on gas.  He takes it, fills it up with gas, makes sure the windshield is clean and the fluid levels are good, then takes it back home and trades vehicles again.  If that makes my Mom a Diva, I say the more power to her (and to you, OhFour)!  smile
